Brabus has unveiled the limited edition E V12 sedan.

Based on the new 2010 Mercedes E-Class W 212, the E V12 features a 6.0-liter V12 biturbo bored out to 6.3-liters producing 800 hp and 1420 Nm of torque (it's electronically limited to 1,100 Nm). While details are limited, Brabus outfitted the engine with a ram-air system, a quad-exhaust, and revised engine electronics.

To keep the beast under control, the company added a fully adjustable sports suspension, new stabilizers, a high performance braking system, and black 19-inch alloy wheels outfitted with 255/35 (front) and 285/35 (rear) tires.

In terms of styling, Brabus made major modifications to improve aerodynamics, engine ventilation, and brake cooling. Changes include a revised front bumper, new front quarter panels, aggressive side sills, and rear wheel covers. Out back, the car features a trunk-mounted spoiler and a carbon fiber rear diffuser.

Thanks to all these tweaks, the E V12 rockets from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.7 seconds, 0-200 km/h (124 mph) in 9.9 seconds, and 0-300 km/h (186 mph) in 23.9 seconds. If you keep your foot planted, the car will eventually top out at an electronically limited 350 km/h (217 mph). Without the limiter, Brabus estimates the car can hit a top speed in excess of 370 km/h (230 mph). Fuel consumption is rated at 15.7L/100km (15 mpg), while CO2 emissions are 372 g/km.

Inside, the car features black leather upholstery, an Alcantara headliner, carbon fiber trim, and a 400 km/h (249 mph) speedometer.

:yuck: I think the side profile pic says everything that needs to be said, performance is cool though. Surely there must have been some other way of overcoming drag then them awful guards over the rear wheels.
Looks so cheap and tacky.

Wheel covers! I used to hate them but now they give a retro-80s Le Mans car impression
I'm not so sure its a good idea to bring them back though..

The interior looks great and that's about it. Too much power, wheel covers look like poop, etc. etc.

Looks like something from Total Recall or Bladerunner. Almost awesome.

Problem is solved, that makes it incredibly awesome.

Those wheel covers better come off with four bolts.

Problem solved.

WOW, what a beautiful car! I just love Mercedes Benz and Brabus, and AMG.

That reminds me of the old '98 E V12! 7.3L.

btw, is it really just me, but i think that those wheel covers look fake

Chris

When I saw the wheelcovers, I had to shake my head. Those went out of style in the '50s.

They should come off easy, though, and it'll look waesome again.

Erm...what - otherwise you're not going to buy one?

The Brabus will cost an arm, a leg, and several other limbs - so I'm sure those who will buy one can foot the fabrication bill to take them off - or simply ask Brabus to do so.

I'm going to hang my head out here and say that the wheel covers have potential. Granted, they were poorly executed here - not that they look cheap (carbon fibre wheelcovers on a black E Merc cheap?!?) but it could have come together better at the back. The vents are great on most fast cars, but I feel the Brab couuld have done better with a more cleaner look at the back (this way the wheel covers could have also been more flowing - more old merc), and the wheel covers stick out too much judging by the pics. With some further developement, I reckon it could be a looker.

I'm guessing who ever will buy one already has, I mean how hard could it be to sell 10 cars.

First thing I'd do when picking up my new EV12 from the dealer is introducing those wheel covers to this guy :

So apart from those hideous wheel covers this Brabis is just as bada** as other Brabus. I like it. Doesn't make a lot of sense performancewise but I like it nevertheless.

I'd prefer a GV12S or Rocket ( CLS V12S ) though...

Whoever thought and agreed that spats(wheel covers) was I good idea, should be sacked. Hideous.
Right, now that's out of the way, both literally and figuratively, awesome piece of machinery.
What's the point of limiting the torque but, 1100, well that's a reasonable amount any more and then it becomes silly? WTF!

How many limbs do you have? Standard equipment is usually four. So two and several others...Unless of course you mean yours and a few other peoples stolen limbs. Which is perfectly logical.

As for the car - I have the same reaction as pretty much everyone else here. The wheel covers look...not so good. I also think that they have potential, for those who regularly travel at 217mph. It's certainly not for fuel economy or else you probably wouldn't have bought a Brabus. But I haven't dismissed its implementation completely. Just more...flush. More fluid with the rest of the car. The grooves on the side aren't quite doing it for me.

I have no problem with wheel covers, but atleast integrate them into the design process. They look very slap-dash, as if the aerodynamicist added them last minute for that extra mph or 2.

Otherwise, where's the driver in a Vader mask?! :D

Brabus and 19" wheels? That's it? Awesome.

Yeah, better resell those wheel covers to someone with a regular E class. Should fetch a few 10s of thousands being such a rare Brabus piece, right? :D

WOW, what a beautiful car!
Are you kidding? I think it's horrid, even without the (possibly fake) wheel covers. It looks like its face was on fire and someone put it out with a shovel.

Lets face it cars like that are meant for VERY few people, and those that would consider shelling out the princely sum want it to be unique.
But looks aside that thing has got to be an absolute beast, talk about a car made for Darth Vader.
Im quite sure the side skirts were sorta a safety disclaimer for the company, meaning there is surely somewhere in writing that speeds over 200mph will be unsafe if not equipped with the rear wheel covers.
