hey guys... been doing some more research only to find myself more confused than ever
so.. need some advice =P
anyways... umm.. back to brake drifting questions... (oh side note, i drift gt2, but so far this is the best info forum i've ever found on actual drifting =P) i still don't understand whether the brake first.. then turn in while still braking... or brake to appropriate speed, turn in.. and then hit the brakes to lose traction ( no offense sd, you're advice is good, but i got confused from other webistes)
yeah, because ok, on some websites, it says to use trail-braking?? or like, "you continue braking for a short time after you turn into the corner, which loads up the frlont wheels with lots of weight, causing the rear tires to exceed traction threshhold." thats all fine and dandy, but i'd just like to know whether to brake first or turn first... because then brian c's guide says to turn first i think... iono, both ways aren't working too well, but turn first seems to work a little better... but i still don't feel the back end swing out, so even if i get on the throttle, it doesn't break traction (can any1 tell me like, step-by-step... whats involved in a brake drift and how exactly to perform an ideal one... pm is also good)
oh.. and powerband question... umm... the point when one gets on the throttle again in a drift is critical i know.. so does the rpm's have to be in the powerband? i mean... often times i'm like in redline after braking and only after the drift starts does it slow down enough.. yup, just curious...
ps: i think it's only brake drifitng confusing me... feint, lift-off... etc, seems to work fine.... but it just understeers grip when i turn in then brake... and even more severe understeer when i brake first then turn.. heh, any advice apprecited
