Hi everyone,
I'm not a developer, I'm actually just a karting dad. 😄 I originally started BrakeMaster because of my son Dominik, who races karts. I noticed that his left foot on the brake was quite ON/OFF. He could brake hard, but fine control between different pressure levels and a smooth release wasn't really natural yet.
So I started building a simple browser tool where he could practice the pedal itself at home with his sim pedals.
The idea is not to teach that 70%, 80% or any other brake pressure is "correct". In a real kart or sim that obviously changes with the car, tyres, grip, temperature and situation.
The idea is much simpler: if you want 63%, 78% or a smooth progressive release, can your left foot actually reproduce it accurately and consistently?
What started as a small experiment has slowly grown into BrakeMaster. It now includes custom brake training, guided training with different targets, pedal calibration, reaction exercises and progress/results tracking.

I'm still building it step by step, mostly with AI tools, so I'm sure there are plenty of things that can be improved. 😄 I'm especially interested in feedback from experienced sim racers. Not just whether you like it, but what would actually make something like this useful alongside normal sim driving.
One direction I'm particularly interested in for the future is telemetry: taking a braking trace from an actual sim session, finding something worth working on, and turning that into a repeatable pedal exercise. But that's still just an idea at this stage. I'll also use this thread to post updates as the project develops.
Feel free to try it and tell me what works, what doesn't, or what you think is completely pointless. All feedback is useful. 😄 Here's a short video showing the Custom Training module:
