I think it'd be awesome if there was brand name parts like OEM and Spoon, maybe even id they had to be won from a certain series of races. Also with the parts comes a sticker than you can slap on your car/window

Off Topic but I would also love to see a variety of installablr headlights and brake lights

also paintable engine parts, seperate painting of body parts
spoiler being completely removable, along with hood

this would be great and i'd love it but i thawt about this before this topic and really all it is. is a bunch of pain in the but lincensing

It's been a while since I played Forza 4, but if I recall correctly, you only get one choice for everything, much like what we currently have in GT5, albiet with brand names in FM4. To be honest, it's a bit pointless given this. On the other hand, if there were several, say, types of Stage 3 turbos by several brands, then it would make sense, but realistically, it won't happen, and even if it did, PD would be too stubborn to make them different.

I'd like it, but only for exhausts. It'd be neat to be able to select from the different brand of exhausts, each with their own unique sound sample for your car, and exhaust layouts, with a choice of the stock layout, straight pipes, side pipes, or stacks, for trucks. :dopey:

The only way this would be worth it is if the parts either performed differently in some way or if they're exterior parts, looked different.

Because I see no point at all in for example letting you choose an air filter manufacturer if they all perform the same and you can't see it. It's just a waste of programming time.

As for installable head and tail lights no, this isn't a Need For Speed ricing game.

well ofc they perform and act differently

In the real world yes but I'm saying PD would have to include those in the game for it to be worth it, history suggests they wouldn't bother and that would make it pointless.

I think the only way it would be worth it is if the game allowed you to open the hood/bonnet and view your newly modded engine. Trying to differentiate between horsepower gains of an AEM and an Injen CAI is negligible. Now, for example, I'd love to see the difference between something like 4-1 versus 4-2-1 headers. There is a measurable difference to how they shape the torque curve. But again, as far as brand names go, it's hard to measure the difference between a Borla and a HKS header.

Only if there is a difference. Should apply to all parts, if possible, even body and interior modifications. Now the hard part is making them all different from each other.

Nevermind having either company allow one of their parts to be the "inferior" one. I'd rather the product placement meddling be kept to a bare minimum.

I think it would add a lot of depth to the game, something I mentioned on another thread was unique parts. Maybe two stage three turbos that would offer different bonuses. Rare one off parts. Something that not everyone can have.

if anyone has played need for speed world, somethin like the super rare parts you have to farm for

Unless PD are going to attempt to buy all of the licenses, the only reason they'd do this is due to a lot of companies offering sponsorship.

Where else have you seen light fittings modifications except for ricing?

Would be nice if the aerodynamic effects of pop ups were simulated and we could replace them. Also would be nice if weather and visibility were more complex. The could even be some weight savings going from huge bulbs to LED's.

Well obviously race cars are a different kettle of fish, I was referring to what I assume the person asking for it was referring to, aftermarket lights to go on your road car. This sort of nonsense.

I never want to see that sort of modification in a GT game.

What you think looks bad =/= what everyone else wants.

What people want, as I've seen after lurking the forums, is customizability, in every single way possible, mechanically and visually. Something that could not only aid the use of racing cars, but also the aesthetics of street cars, is one example of what people want.
