Big news for Grand Theft Auto.

IGN Australia today got what was thought of a design document leaked to their offices, in photo form, and have posted it on the site. It seems it is in development by a Rockstar Australian studio.

IGN have read the design document, trying to make out the words as clearly as they could because the photo of the design document was taken on a mobile phone. The information they found were:

Set in Sydney, Australia

New co-op mode featured

Set for release October next year

Will be on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3

That would actually be a pretty cool location I think, but I'd rather see it be modern again. Assuming this is a prank, its odd that they'd try to do the 70s again. I guess that way they can obviously make it one instead of it being closer to a real possibility for the next game.
 
Noooo way, that would be so awesome if it wasnt in the 70s and an April Fools:(.
 
GTA should always be in America though I think, half of the humour in the game is just mocking the american society and it would lose alot of it's humour. I just can't see the same levels of humour being achieved in another country. Imo, give us another San Andreas with a large landscape with many diverse environments from hick town to desert to green hills to slums to sparkling city centres.
 
When I read this I thought this had to be an April fools joke, because isn't GTA banned in Australia? Anyways, I read on to see other posts saying April fools. Good one.
