breakout and F1 to 61100000mph!

I think this is new so here it goes. Last night I broke out of monaco and was fiddling aroung the level when I got over by the mountains and my car flipped around and ended up pointing almost straight up. Driving like this was going to be near immpossible so i started trying to make my way back to the track so as to level out. So I just sat there flooring it in hopes that I would get traction, but instead my mph slowly rose up past 300 then it skyrocketed to about 6110000 where it locked up.

I did it by accident a long time ago. Funny, I could never do it where everybody else claims they did it.

The break out point is at the end of the tunnel. Instead of slowing to 45mph for the tight left turn, just slam into the row of tires head on. I did it with a HF Delta rally car during the Cote endurance race. Well, during the qualifying lap...
 
It depends how far/fast you go.

If you reach the game's maximum speed/distance limit of 2.147 billion mph (or km/h on PAL versions), the game will lock up.


There's two known break-out points on Cote d'Azur and two on Seattle. All are covered in the "Breaking out and getting to 2 million+ mph" thread.

Well thats the funny thing, I didn't lock up at 2.147 Billion. It was more like 6.111 Million, which didn't make sense to me. Why 6.111 Million?
 
Well, although I said it WILL lock up if you reach that magic maximum figure, I didn't say it wouldn't at lower speeds...
 
But it accelerated just like the escudo. I wonder what figure got high enough to cause the lock up.

I was trying to break out at the USUAL point in seattle, and when i was driving back to the other end of the straight i hit the corner and i went through.

i broke out of test track......immpossible, right?

well. i had a diablo, and smacked into the wall right where the straightaway starts to curve, and i went through the outside barrier to just drive around. replay shows me driving around in the sky from trackside too.

so i brought it up to where the numbers were just going off the screen, and i slammed the brakes and saved the replay.

later, i managed to do the same thing and just floored it till it was infinite zeros going off my screen and then the game froze.

Was this a hybrid?

I've broken out of SS11 but I broke back in directly after that.
 
Oh yeah. A long time ago I was racing in a tourney with a blue Supra in it. And for some weird and stupid reason it would jump straight into the air and if you look at the replay it becomes a speck in the sky.:lol: Also it had times when it landed it shot foward and on the map the dot went around the track (R246) in 3 seconds.:lol:
