Brightness

This might be better placed in the PC Gaming section, but i think i will get better replies here.

I am currently playing Half Life: Blue Shift. But everything is very dark. When i am out doors the light is perfect, but when i am in a cave or basement I can hardly see a thing. I thougth that this was how it was supposed to be but then I saw some screenshots and it was much brighter. I have turned the gamma all the way up and it has hardly made a difference. Is it something to do with the way my graphics card is interpreting the data?

Are you on an LCD or crt? Anyways, try tweaking your monitor calibration. It might help a bit...

Try turning the brigtness button on your monitor all the way up, that should help a bit.

Otherwise, are you using a flashlight while in a cave or in a basement?
