Britain's Got Talent

Every night from June 9 to June 17, you can settle down on your sofa to enjoy the best of British entertainment, thanks to ITV1’s brilliant new talent show.

Britain’s Got Talent really is like no other talent show out there… and it has to be seen to be believed!

The quest is on to find the nation’s most remarkable performers – and it’s fair to say we’ve found them. From dance troupes to singers, to piano playing pigs and dancing horses there’s no telling what act might appear next.

In fact, all they need is a talent that will impress the judges – and ultimately, Her Majesty the Queen.

The Britain’s Got Talent judging panel consists of X Factor mogul Simon Cowell, who takes the strain along with journalist Piers Morgan and actress Amanda Holden.

The show is hosted by the ever-popular Ant & Dec, while Stephen Mulhern adds an exclusive or two to the mix on ITV2 spin-off Britain’s Got More Talent.

It’s a fast and frantic emotional journey played out over just nine nights, so get your hankies at the ready and be prepared to be outrageously amazed.

As well as entertaining the nation, Britain’s Got Talent will change lives and make dreams come true.

The ultimate winner will not only pocket £100,000 but will receive one of the highest honours in showbiz – a starring slot performing for Her Majesty the Queen at the 2007 Royal Variety Performance.

Too right, I only checked this thread because I was bored, but he was really good.
 
You should find a vid of the little kid who was doing stand-up comdey. Damn he was funny.
 
not a fan of these kinda shows but how amazing is she!!

We've had X-Factor and Pop Idol,
But this show is good.
It shows the public and thier amazing talents.

The vids shown so far are great.

The guy with the monkey - Hilarious! :lol:

The Opera singer - Jeesh! Can that guy sing, (although Road Dogg does have a point).

The six year old girl - Absolutely amazing to here a young voice sound like that.
Having three young daughters of my own I'm not ashamed or embarrassed to admit...
it brought tears to my eyes.

I've just watched tonights show and there was more of the same.

As soon as the vids are available somebody has to post the best ones, or I will.

Some of these people are outstanding!
 
I must admit that some of the people are great, some have srious bottle to do that, and some are just plain nutts.
 
Wow, I must admit, that 6 year old girl was amazing!
 
Its been a great show so far, looking forward to seeing what the final 24 will do in the semi finals.

And dam Amanda Holden is sexy...
 
By the way, there's 26 now in the semi-finals. The decided to add that beat boxing group and the kid that done the comedy act to the final 24.

This programme brings back some awful memories of school camp and the dreaded 'Camp Show' (a horribly ironic name) where each school had to put on some sort of act. We recreated our theatrical masterpiece, "Jonah And The Whale", and craptacular it was. My school chum Ian then shamed our entire school forever by doing a 'solo' rendition of "Boom Boom, Ain't It Great To Be Crazy" which was so gut-wretchingly embarrassing, even the teachers claimed he wasn't one of ours...
 
Surely this programme is little more than a televised freakshow. None of these people will ever become famous. Gone are the days where reality TV contestants can make fame and fortune for more than a month or so afterwards.

OK, I have my meany shoes on here, but honestly, was that performance by Connie (the 6 yr old girl) not the most appallingly schmaltzy, sickeningly saccharin thing you have ever seen? I don't know why they bothered - the judges lapped it up and the UK public will probably vote for her in their droves... seriously, do we really need another hothouse child? :trouble: Meh.....

We all know that she stands a good chance of winning, but I dont think she should.
People are going to vote for her because she's 6 and she's cute.

Yes she can sing, and for six years old she is bloody good, but some of the others deserve to win just as much.
I hate opera with a very strong passion, but that Paul Potts guy is unbelievable. But again it's just singing.
The guy with the monkey puppet IMO was something different, and
appealing to a varied audience.

The public need to remember this is a show to find a 'Variety Performance' artist,
and not just someone who can sing.
 
I am very surprised the Barmen actually made it though. They are very talented though - I would love to witness that in person:

I agree with the 6 year-old girl getting many of the votes just because she's cute and so young. She is pretty good for a 6 year-old, I admit, but I'm not sure if she really cuts it compared to the Opera man. He is just amazing. The other two acts don't really compare on sheer impact in my mind..

It's supposed to be a variety act show, but people will probably end up with a singer all over again...


Oh, and I must say I loved the impressionist. I would have liked it if he made it instead of the girl!

This guy is good, and one reason for the Bar Wizards getting in IMO was
the fact that this impressionist guy was kicked off the show,
because he is on the sex offenders register. 👎 Shame because he is talented.
Another act was also booted out!
The transvestite/crossdressing Kit Kat Dolls were outed because
three of them were found to be or have been red light hookers.
I'm not homophobic or anything like that but these guys/girls made me shiver! :nervous:
 
Maybe Britain has got talent, but it looks like they have got the same grammar issues that the American show had got.

I stand corrected. I've just been reading the newspaper and saw which guy it was.

As for Paul Potts winning, he bloody well deserved it!
:dunce: Why's he not popular in Cambodia? Did I miss something?
