BRITISH HONDA CIVIC CHAMPIONSHIP

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is the British Honda Civic Championship, a new series to GTPlanet. This is a series where drivers can take a cheap car (under 20k!) and tear it around a track in an attempt to become the champion.

The car that will be used during this season is the Honda CIVIC TYPE R (EK) '97.

This series was created because there is no other active Honda Civic championship on GTPlanet, and in hopes that this one becomes popular and continue for many series'.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CARS
Honda CIVIC TYPE R (EK) '97
Oil change.
All suspension and brakes parts.
All drivetrain and transmission parts.
Stage 2 engine.
Sports computer.
Racing upgrades.
240HP / 1,050KG / 430PP

All entrants must have their cars to match this spec, seeing as though they will not be able to enter the track in lobby.

Racing:Soft tyres are the allotted tyres of use in this series.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

RULES
RULES

Corner cutting will not be accepted by all means unless under given reason - such as avoiding a spinning car. Any driver that is found to cut a corner by any extreme length (4 wheels completely off the circuit), they will be investigated.

Track limits must be respected throughout every session of a race day - practice, qualifying and the races. Failure to do so will result in warnings and reprimands and possibly penalties.

Causing a collision is highly looked down upon and can result in penalties and/or bans depending on the severity of the offense.

Blocking is also highly looked down upon during races, and this can end up in position swaps to benefit the victim and/or possibly penalties to the imposer.

Causing an avoidable accident is a "no-no" in racing and is widely associated with on-track revenge. This is highly unrecommended and will result in penalisation and/or possibly disqualification.

Breaking car regulations will be deemed as 'cheating' and will be punishable by disqualification.

CONSEQUENCES

On-track penalties are minor and may not affect a race result too much, but they can range from warnings, reprimands and position swaps.

Time penalties can range from 5-seconds to 30-seconds, obviously depending on how offensive the action was.

Points penalties can be imposed if an incident is undeniably unacceptable, the maximum is a 10 point deduction, the minimum is a 2 point deduction.

Disqualifications are awarded to incidents that are serious enough and/or if any driver breaches car regulations.

Race bans can be awarded straight out of the box for incidents that are severe enough, but will usually be awarded if a driver earns 4 reprimands.

Championship bans can also be awarded straight out of the box for incidents but will usually be awarded if a driver earns 8 reprimands.

Series bans are a result of a driver consistently showing no improvement in their driving, continuously causing accidents.

PENALTY SYSTEM

1 warning - no action
2 warnings - 1 reprimand
4 warnings - 2 reprimands - 5-place grid penalty
6 warnings - 3 reprimands
8 warnings - 4 reprimands - race ban
16 warnings - 8 reprimands - championship ban

These rules are in place to keep the racing fair and to stop others having an advantage over others. The series host, nor the stewards, hold any special credit over other drivers.

Currently deciding on a day because I can't decide myself lol, as soon as we have the day we have the dates.
Race 1 should be approx 3 weeks from now :)

I guess Racing upgrades, means racing exhaust?

And we using racing soft tyres?
Wow bit ott for a 240bhp car, I'd go CS ;)

1,050kg is standard weight :)

RS tyres :) I tried CS, SH & SS, SS were good, CS & SH had **** all lol, and too many series' use SS so I went with RS :)

So does that mean a no to lighter parts?

Going back to tyres a lot use them to add driver skill to the game.
I'm not sure if a 240bhp would need to be easy on the power out of bends?

I also see the car can run a flat floor would that be ok to run.

Also I need 4 racings to start when my shift works out.
If you pick the wrong date It could mean I miss all 4 races down to work :(

If votes pick Tuesday then I need it to start the 23rd of Dec, then I'll make all 4 races
