Broken button on DFGT

I managed to break the button on my DFGT that brings up the driving aids. Well, it still works, but it doesn't click, it works like a touch button. This happened a while ago, but is there an easy way to fix it? And how does a button do that, exactly?
 
How old is your wheel?
 
It was used, but I broke the button.
 
If it's below two years old, the warranty kick's in, and you can get a replacement from Logitech.
 
Me and my Dad are planning to open up the DFGT and see if we can fix it... Good idea or not? And if whatever makes the button work properly has broken, can it be replaced?

If you open it up, warranty is done.

Yeah it was already used before I bought it last year, might be worth checking though.
 
Yeah its used, so no replacements. Although I could very easily earn over 80 pounds in a month to replace it!
 
If getting a replacement is no problem, then by all means open it up and play around with it all you want. But if it's going to be your only wheel for the forseeable future, opening it just to fix a button which still works but doesn't 'click' doesn't sound worthwhile to me.
