Broken comment link on news posts

Occasionally, a post will be made to the front page, and the link to the comment thread will display -1 comments, and it won't work. This is the case with the current top post about the daily races. I've seen this happen before. I think it happens when the original thread is deleted or merged with another thread.

That's correct - it's just a redirect issue. With the daily race post, like the one you've posted, I normally change the redirect concurrently with the merge, but I guess I hadn't had enough coffee yet this morning after a 3am finish
