Broken Sound

Well, I pulled a huge "dumb arse" move last night. I was finishing up my session on the laptop and as I set down the headphones, I was getting up and tripped over the cord.

It was 7 in the morning and I was tired from doing a 20 page paper and working on the website and doing this weeks photoshop comp. Needless to say, I fell on my face, but as I returned to the laptop to put the headphones back, I noticed the cord came out, so I looked behind the laptop, and noticed that I broke the port for the headphones.

I was seriously livid, madly pissed to all who don't know livid.

I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this or where to get the parts to fix it. I'd like any info. for the project.

No, I wouldn't think you could get it fixed. Laptops have intergrated sound on the motherboard. It's pretty much screwed.

Sorry.

Well, I have taken it apart before, and it is very user friendly in that sense, so it isn't hard to get at. I was just wondering if they made the actual headphone jack so I could solder a new one in. Then I could just use the same sound card. My soundcard isn't integrated, btw.
