I just bought the Brook Ras1ution 2 to company my Moza R9 v2 just to play GT7. Since reviews on Ras1lution are rare and vague, I thought I give my first impressions. For comparison I used to have T-GT for years, g29 and t150 prior to that and currently have also g923 of which I havent used that much. I also use my R9 on pc, so I know what the R9 is capable of. I have Moza R9 v2, CS V2P wheel, HPB handbrake, HGP shifter and SRP pedals with loadcell. All accessories are connected to the back of the R9v2.

First pros. So far everything works. I have Moza pedals, h-shifter and handbrake connected straight to the R9 v2 base, and everything works. Just make sure the shifter is calibrated before connecting to ps5. What surprised me - even though I had heard about it, is that there is absolutely no delay. The ingame wheel follows the controller 1:1 and Im using an A95 Samsung with sync and 120hz, so any lag would be noticeable. I had T-GT prior, and this is the same or even more responsive.

Now the elephant on the room - force feedback. The FFB is ok at best. It is VERY clear the ffb is based on g29, so its really not comparable to any DD or T-GT. It feels like an upgraded g29 without the gear rattle. That said the amount of ffb is very mild especially outside the center +-20° or so. One can also feel the ffb is coded for the weak torque and gears or g29. Its more like notchy shake and rattle in this center +-20° area, just as it is in g29, just missing the clunky noise and feel of the gears. Outside that narrow area it is basically just a constant centering spring with next to no effects or feedback. G29 doesn't have the torque to give you those constant forces from the tires slipping/gripping/deforming or cars self aligning forces, so those dont exist in the ffb signal from Ras1ution either. So anyone saying a DD wheel with Ras1lution is better than T-GT or even T300 is sadly total BS. T-GT has very good constant rubbery feedback of grip levels and self aligning forces, that simply dont exist on Ras1lution as long as it is emulating g29.

Long story short. If you want to have a DD for pc and Playstation GT7 is just a side bonus - go for it. It is better than controller even though you dont really have any useful FFB - just some effects for immersion. BUT if GT7 is your main use for a wheel, I'd say dont bother. You are way better off with T300, T-GT or even G29/923 is not really that far off. Let alone purpose built compatible DDs like T598 or CSL DD Pro.

I really hope some day ras1lution gives us option to emulate a DD wheel or atleast T-GT or T300 as the responsiveness and compatibility is very good. If they were able to convert T-GTs T-DFB signal to truforce/fullforce type of part of the ffb signal, this could be one of the best combinations for GT7. Ras1ution 2 is actually a very good product, that is annoyingly close to being exceptional. At the moment there is also a massive red flag especially for anyone buying 2nd hand Ras1lution - I wasnt able to find any update files from their website. I was lucky to have the latest (?) version. Even though site says latest is 1.8.5 and my Ras1ution says 1.8.05. No such version as 1.8.05 on their sites version history. This is somewhat ok. File is available atleast on a phone browser by clicking around text. Just vague. Also confirmed device information showing "1.8.05" = v.1.8.5 .

A bit of an update on my experiences. I tried few other games on PS5. Dirt Rally 2 works pretty well. Even shifter and handbrake. Just as they work on GT7. The limitations of the G29 emulation shows clearly in Dirt 2 force feedback - "tire slip" and "engine" are completely greyed out in the FFB menu. G29 is just not capable of these. Bad news comes with Assetto Corsas. In the original AC the car wont move even though the inputs seem ok. Steering and pedals work, but car wont move out of the pits. In AC Competizione nothing works. I was even stuck on the menu and not even the dualsense moved in menus. I remind I have the CS V2P wheel on my Moza R9 - Im going to by a second hand ES wheel and report back if that works better as console wheel through the Ras1ution 2.
