I didn't find this news in English version so I'll just translate the highlights.

The German newspaper "Bild" announced on this wednesday's edition that Bruno Senna might become an STR driver still this year or in 2007. The man behind this is Gerhard Berger, who is an STR associated and also Bruno's conselour on his career.

I never followed Bruno Senna's career much, but he's currently leading the British F-3 championship. Who knows he might have his uncle's skills. :)

his names what carrying. Pity to him that if he does turn out to be one of the best he wont get the credit he deserves.

Bubble Bunny
Vitantonio Liuzzi doenst seem to be doing too well. Maybe he can be replaced.

Yeah, Scott Speed hasn't gotten into any on track incidents, IIRC. Off-track, of course, is another story... ;)

But yeah, it would be way cool to see the Senna name back in F1. I think it's especially nice that Berger, who was Ayrton's best friend among fellow drivers, has taken Bruno under his wing.

here is a write up I made on another forum. this was after he got his first win.

here is a good article on Bruno Senna's history and what is happening with him. and here is an english article about Bruno Senna and STR. I can't wait. I've been following his career since early-mid '05 and belive me, he looks to be the real deal. it's pretty damn surprising the amount of progress considering the first race he ever entered was in mid '04. I'd say he has his uncle's talents.

rock.

Me thinks it's still too early for him to step up to F1. After his uncle passed, he hadn't raced again until recently, and the experience he will get in 2-3 more years into single seaters will be very important. 👍

All the hype upon him it's going to be a lot of pressure, like it was for Rubens (first brazilian on F1 after Senna). If he doesn't deliver results soon, you know the press...:nervous: Allied the fact that he won't have one of the fastest cars, results might not come at all and then :scared:

well, nobody expects him to win any races driving a STR chassis. Some result is better than no result. And if some of those results are decent, then maybe next year, he will get a drive with a better team.

I don’t know. If he jumps into an STR car this year, and doesn’t match his teammate (which he probably won’t), his chances at a good future in F1 will be pretty well screwed.

He’d be best to sign a contract to test for the remainder of this year, and hop into a race drive next year. He’ll get some valuable miles, and he will be much better equiped to compete against his teammate next season.

…if he gets a drive in 2007.

I dunno if a driver change is really necessary for STR...yeah, having a Senna in F1 again would rock, but Liuzzi's got a reasonable pace (though he's accident-prone), and Speed may be hotheaded but he's usually very close to Liuzzi (leading or trailing) and he's great at sticking to the track and evading accidents.
