BSpec-Does anybody else think it's a slap with prize cars?

Isn't it kind of a slap in the face that the car you win for getting gold in a series is the same kind of car you just had to buy (and tune) to beat the series to begin with?
Example- Buy a muscle car to win the american championship. Win and you get, guess what... a muscle car. Same for turbo, etc...
I need cars that would help me with the next step, not something that I just beat with my faster version of the same car class.

Not at all and I did not have to buy a car to win that race but yes I would expect to get a Muscle car from a musle car race. Hopefully a different one than the one I already have.

I bought the 67 Cougar right away tuned it and used it in all the muscle car races as well as some of the classic car races.

No matter what you will need to buy a few cars at some point but just so you know you can win a muscle car without buying a muscle car. Jeff Gordons Nascar school will give you 2 muscle cars and a Nascar if you Gold the advanced level.

The one thing to be aware of is that if you try to do all the races in order you will have to buy some cars to do it. On the other hand if you do some of the driving tests, some of the special events and the races you actually have cars that you can use already you will win some cars that you can use in other races which you may not currently have.

You could look at the prize car list to see what cars you can expect from different events and run those to get the cars and also to insure that you do not buy the car that will be awarded as a prize.

You win a Lupo in the hatch back race so there is no need to buy one. I have won 3 total and did not buy any.

You use a racecar Lupo for the event and then you win a regular Lupo.
(you win the racecar lupo in another event)

dont see here any problem at all.. I allway won cars that can be used in other races, you just got unlucky with the cars you buyed...

The credits awarded are not that great either. 32000 for a 4 hour endurance race, its almost pathetic.

Lolllll!

Seriously? Wow. WHO created the gameplay aspect of this game? Sooo stupid. A 4 hour endurance race in GT4 would have awarded at least $250,000 and a very good prize car.

The game honestly feels like they dedicated 50% of their time to car/track creation, 40% to physics, and 10% to gameplay..if that.

I agree with what everyone here is saying, but I found that B-Spec usually awards you a far better car than what you are given for the A-Spec equivalent.

Anyone else find that?

B-Spec prize cars are fantastic! The Furai, Zonda R and Toyota 7 race cars... B-Spec may have its problems, but bad prize cars is NOT one of them.

Agreed. The Mazda Furai is probably the most noteworthy, alongside the Zonda R. Both are relatively easy to get and, more importantly, can dominate a lot of following events easily.

Aside from the price cars, the events seem totally random.

You're racing Ferraris and Lamborghinis, move up a class and your opponents turn up in Golf GTIs. You finish a championship with opponents driving race cars (GT World Championships), then, in the next higher class, the last race features a Nissan GT-R as the most powerful car the opponents can bring (PD Cup).

One of which being taking out the ability to speed the event up by three times, my god I miss this feature. Makes B-Spec a complete grind. :(
