With somewhat of an Anit-climatic end to the season with American MC Racing not being able to compete.
HAL managed to take 2nd place ahead of Keiichi Tsuchiya in the Drivers Championship.
Nihon Racing secured 2nd in the Constructors Championship ahead of American MC Racing.

Here at BTC we would like to thank everyone for their participation in the Cup & would like to see everyone next season after a change of rules & regulations. Possibly with a new name aswell because Budget Tuner Cup wouldnt be a good name for a non Budgeted cup now would it? haha
Aslo we would like to apologize for the wait in this last race alot has happened behind the scenes of BTC & we are sorry that this affected the running of the Cup.

I will be making next season in the SHORT Race series and probably make it a 6 round event next season. Hopefully that will keep people in.
The thread for season 3 is here. I would appretiate any input you guys give & I will try to make next season better than the first 2.

HP only but with minimum weight restrictions i think.. like 500 class, 300 class and maybe even a 200 class for some cool little cars. Hopefully unlimited budget, i think by now everyone has too much money anyway.

Balang Project with RE-Amemiya will be able to attend this race.

Voted for BHP/Kg option,
I'd like to see cars built with a BHP and weight limitations. (unlimited budget, but limited min weight and max BHP )

For example:
A-class400BHP/1150Kg
and
B-class250BHP/1250Kg

One other thing that would make this really interesting would be that everyone runs on N1's
This would make the tuning more important than just adding power when you know you have grippy tyres to start with  (too easy perhaps)

Nihon Racings First Practice Update
(& slight boredom)

Nihon Racing has just finished our first runs on Tsukuba!
We experienced very bad weather but our drivers pushed on their laps regardless.
Having tested here at the start of the season & having both drivers confident around Tsukuba the team were expecting decent times during practice runs.

First of all we let Taiki go out first thinking the Skyline would be stable with its 4wd system, in the first few laps he achieved a 1'03.4xx which we all thought was pretty good considering the weather.
After getting a decent setup on the car & fine tuning the Transmission for the backstraight Taiki set out for some hot laps.
After trimming his previous time down by a whole second the team decided to let Keiichi get some laps in as he's challenging for 2nd in the drivers championship.
Keiichi went out & managed a 1'05.9xx on his first practice run, the car just could not get any kind of traction at all on the wet track.
He decided to come straight in & changed the gear ratio's.
Now that he had a decent set up he started firing in some hot laps after being disapointed with his lack of traction & speed he decided to try something completely different.
What resulted was a quick succession of impressive times.
1'03.2xx,
1'02.9xx,
1'02.5xx,
1'02.202,
He was getting into the times similar to the skyline.
Keiichi thought he could do alot better so after getting a quick change to the suspesion he headed out for another go.
The end result even amazed everyone in the team!
With Keiichi believing he can go atleast 0.3xx faster, the team are confident that he may well be able to end the season on a high!

Balang Project with RE-Amemiya.

Good to see the RX-7 doing so well with the King at the wheel, Nihon Racing.

The team hasnt started testing yet, they hope to get out there soon, but it looks like this bad weather is going to last all week.
Balang is going to have to try hard to hold on to his 5th place.

Another suggestion for next season is to possibly run on Sports tires, here at Balang Project and RE-Amemiya have always been a fan of Time Attack which is run on street legal tyres, so it would be great if they could be used next season, obviously its up to everyone to decided, but i hope they will be considered.

Good day race wise today, but not weather. Both drivers managed some very good times, breaking into a time barrier they both thought they couldnt... hopefully with a bit more testing the times will drop down a little more. The Skyline's traction finally shows its advantage, making it easier to achieve a quick time.

American MC Racing is saddened to report that they will not be able to participate in the final round at Tsukuba, since their team manager got sent out of town on business & took the keys to the race shop with him. Both Heinricy & Martin have enjoyed racing with everyone this season & are looking forward to future series.

Hey guys, Family decided they wanted to stay on holiday longer than expected, I just got back, I'll get the results up as soon as possible.
Again I'm terribly sorry.

Been too busy lately to participate in many of the races held here at GTP.
Sorry about that. :(
