Under the Hood
In this style of comp, you are not restricted by tuning, drivetrain or vehicle choice, but rather by your budget. Each week you will have a different amount of money that you will be allowed to spend buying a car and tuning it. For example, in the first week, your budget will be 100,000 Cr. With that money, you can:
- Buy a car
- Buy all the parts you can to fit your budget

That's it. This style of competition introduces are new aspect to racing, your vehicle selection and tuning selection. Do you invest in engine tuning or weight reduction? Customizable suspension or grippier tires? Expensive AWD or a cheap RWD?

As of now, comps will be held every Saturday at 7:00PM PST/10:00PM EST

If you want to participate, PM ME (Do NOT post in the thread) your car selection, with your tuning options. Example:


Car: Honda Civic EK '97, 998kg, 180hp - 18,000 Cr

Non hp/weight altering changes:
- Racing Soft tires - 36,000 Cr
- Customizable Suspension - 24,000 Cr
- Racing Clutch - 5,000 Cr

hp/weight altering changes:
- Intake tuning - 203hp - 5,000 Cr
- Oil change - 214hp - 50 Cr
- Stage 3 Turbo - 340hp -20,000 Cr

Final HP: 340hp
Final Weight: 998kg
Total Budget: 108,005 Cr

To ensure that no one will try to go overbudget, I will test out each car to make sure hp/weight specs add up. Then I will set room to your specs and you will enter the track. Once you enter the track, YOU CANNOT GO TO YOUR TUNING MENU AGAIN since I have confirmed your car specs. I will do this to every competitor. Then once everyone is verified I will start the race.*

*I will try to verify everyone follows the rules, but there are still ways around the regulations. If you're going to cheat, just don't join. This comp is for fun and it's never fun if someone's cheating.

I bet some of the muscle cars me & Slash built for street drags would fall into the category. I'd like to run them sometime in your lobby & see if they'd keep up. Most of them are running under 450 horsepower.

And maybe to make this interesting you could some weeks offer a "free part" that we can use that won't count on out budget such as an air filter or such. Just food for thought ;).

I can't make it, I need to update it and every time I click download update my Ps3 shuts off, and has to restore file system...
 
when gt6 loads and wants to update,bypass it and go on into game,then go to lobby so it wants to log in,then the update comes up,install it then,it will work,mine did the same thing

I think most of those cars are closer to 70k with car/transmission being the most expensive. I'd like to run a few cars against some budget cars or even someone using my setups so I can pick my favorite before making a choice

I SHOULD be clear but I'm not sure. I will try my 100% best to attend because I'm really excited but I am in the process of helping my dad clean up and paint a house because I'm moving quite soon. So depending on when the appliances get in my schedule is subject to change but I'm going to try.
