Can someone help me out on this. I am at Level 17 with 37& game completion. I am trying to do the Supercar Nostalgia Cup races. I am using the Buick Special `62`but I can`t enter none of the races, it keeps on telling me I need a 1979 car or earlier. Is it a game bug?..can someone help me out plz!!
 
It's a modern show car, so it's not actually a pre '79 car. Though I think it is able to be entered in a different classic car event, and it may still be listed on the list of cars you can use.

So it's sort of a bug.. but you shouldn't be able to use it.
 
what car should I use ?..why is it telling me i need an earlier year than 1979 car when my car is a 1962 model?

No, it's not a bug.

Just buy a Ferrari 512BB, you can use it for the Ferrari races and the Historic Racing car races too.

Srry if I didnt mention, I live in Japan so I got the japanese GT5...is there a difference with the American version?

The games have many differences in different regions; Asia, America and Europe/Australia.

This bug that you are talking about happens to all regions I think.
 
@nipponj - Our version only allows a max. of 20.000.000cr. Some people have done this event with a fully modded Countach, I think, that's the cheapest car for this. I grinded Indy to buy the TOYOTA 7

OP, Add Rayzah and I'll put my chapparal 2J online for you to use, that car will win you the series in both A and B spec fairly easily.
 
It's not really a bug.

The Buick Special that is in GT5 is actually the one that won the SEMA Award in 2003. It really should be classed as a 2003 car.

Also, the credit system is good. It fits in with the local currency, Japanese Yen is low in value compared to US dollars or Euros.

I used the 2D. I prefer it over the 2J.

I could err but isn't the requirement 1969-1979? I know this is the requirement in one event. I can't check it right now because my Bob is making some credits for me, but if the car is from '62 this would be an explanation.

The requirement is 1979 or earlier.
 
Used the Toyota 7 and killed the field.
 
The Buick Special is not (entirely) from 1962. It's a modern car, just like the Art Morrison 'vette.
 
The buick special won at SEMA in 2003, so technically, it wasn't made in 1962.
