Bugatti Veyron faster than x2010

I was online a few days ago and there was a bugatti veyron that beat me on the SS7 level doing drag racing which I thought was odd. I thought the x2010 was the fastest car. He was probably doing about 300+ mph and he had better acceleration than the x2010. Curious if any of you guys have any ideas. Even with some tuning to the veyron I don't see how it can handle and be faster than the x2010. Which leads me to believe his game save file is somehow hacked. He was from an unknown country as well. It was a green rectangular flag with some small writing in the middle. I couldn't really make out what country he was from. But wow, that was one fast bugatti. My first encounter online. I never ran against one that was much quicker than the x2010.
 
Go give your X2010 an oil change. I was running almost the exact same as a Bugatti about an hour ago in my X2010 and then i went and change the oil. The oil looked new but it gave me another 70 BHP and then i beat him.
 
I imagine a tuned Veyron is faster in a straight line than well nigh anything this side of an SR-71! Just wait till you get to the corner though:)....

Now that's curious, since I've never heard of even a fully-tuned Veyron doing much more than 283mph, and I can't get my own to get past about 275mph. Digitalic, you're sure it was more than 290mph?

Yes I am sure. I was looking at my digital readout while driving through the straight tunnel in SS7 track and I was at around 285-290mph, and this Veyron just passes me up like nothing. It was very strange. It was extremely responsive even when we were both rolling at over 250mph. He punches the gas and can easily pass me up without any problems. I was curious how his Veyron was that quick compared to the X2010 which is supposedly the fastest and best handling car in the game. After running that Veyron yesterday I am very skeptical now.

Would have been Saudi Arabia.. check it on Wikipedia...
 
Veyron fully tunes has a bit over 1200 HP and weighs around 1600 I think.

The X1 has 1500+ HP and weighs 550.

The only explanation I can see is what someone posted above with the boost being on.

Only green flag I remember seeing online is Saudi Arabia, my flag :D

Boost may have been the cause to that overwhelming speed, and I think high gear ratios too.

With the drafting on it is possible to get much higher speeds than normal if the gearing will allow it. I would not be surprised to see a few cars get close to 300 in the draft of an X1 but that does not make that car faster than the X1. With no draft the X1 will walk away with ease and once the car passes the X1 can overtake in a heartbeat if you grab the draft of the car that just went by.

btw when they said the X1 was the fastest car coming and going they were not talking about straight line speed but track speed which includes the corners. The Veyron is a pig in the corners and can not even come close to any decent race car.
 
Boost is the cause of alot of ridiculous speeds in this game. The Redbull X1 tops at around 480km/h but if you jump in a draft behind another x1 or even a veyron you can get it up just over 500km/h :D.
 
gotta be drafting, i hit 299 mph in an X1 drafting, could have got more but hit a bend. Veyron would be the same...
 
What was your downforce set to, and are you using an S.Vettel? I haven't gotten mine to much over 260mph with both front and rear downforce set to half, a Veyron could beat that. Not sure how he managed to keep up through the corners, I would have thought the Veyron would lose so much time it wouldn't be able to get back in your slipstream, but I suppose with boost on it could.

He must have been loving that, beating an X2010 in a Veyron!
 
A fourmula 1 car will decelerate at 3g's simply by letting off the gas... that is how much downforce/drag they have.
Even in real life, a Veyron is "faster" than an F1 car... not when braking or turns are used, or when accelerating out of corners, but as far as top speed.
The F1 is a wayyyyy quicker car, but not "faster".
 
You might need an oil change and an engine rebuild! Also, boost was probably on STRONG, and I'm sure there was heavy drafting going on.

Still, that's strange about the acceleration.... :indiff:
 
since you can't tune gears like the other gt who couldn't get the veyron to do 300 mph with the top speed set to 298(btw huge flaw in gt)
 
I'm sure people have found ways to hack the characteristics of the cars. They have hacked pretty much everything else so far. Can't wait to see my first 2000hp Vitz during an online race. I'm sure he'll be ebrake turning the whole time too. :/
 
I gonna have to say you definitely had something majorly wrong.

I got a nasty Veyron and it will not even think of being in the same ball park as the X2010.

Anyone got a veyron they think is worthy PM me and I will show just how SLOW that Veyron is.

The X2010, is faster in every aspect and substantially so.

Exactly what I thought as well until I ran against this guy online the other night on the SS7 track. He achieved this speed without drafting at all. Which is why I'm so surprised. Which led me to believe that he somehow got a "hybrid" hacked veyron.
 
you should have saved his psn name and we can all go to ssr 7 with a bunch of x1's and veyrons to see how fast he really is :)
