Buick Centurion Concept 1956

[GBO Possum]

An amazing concept car, and stunning visually. The all-glass dome and interior are spectacular.

I first saw this car at the Sloan Museum, and later, nearer home, at the Heritage Museum, Sandwich in Massachusetts on Cape Cod. I took these photos at the Heritage Museum.

The seats moved back to ease entry and egress (like my Corvette!), and unlike my Corvette, it has a rear view TV camera. Black and white only, sorry. The camera is just above the central rear lamps, and the screen is in the center of the dash.

You have to like the color red.

Imagine driving this anywhere in GT in cockpit view!

Of course, that's the first thing you're supposed to do with any car (after an oil change). It's just tradition.

So I suppose we'll have to have very realistic shattering of all that glass, awesome sound effects and bleeding avatars!
