Hi folks.

After getting a DF Pro, I´m thinking about creating a cockpit. Basic plan is, go to a car lot, get a seat, bung a load of tubes around it, strap on a logitec and smile.

After consideration, this is what I want / need:

1. The seat must be foldable to make storage much easier, or be able to lie flat, for the same reason
1A. The chassis needs to be able to fold up for storage purposes too, (my flat is not big!)
2. I don´t really want a wooden chassis, but if needs must...
3. I´m gonna get someone else to weld the joints for a tubular chassis.
4. Seat height concerns me, but not essential
5. Seat tilt could be of some benefit, since it can sometimes be that the backs of your legs do most of the support.

Since I´m currently living in a third world country, cost is a relevant factor, so buying a ready made solution for $300, or $150, or even $35 is not an option. I can get a cheap 2nd hand seat and get a guy to weld something according to my plans. Hinges to enable folding, seat sliders from some old car, lets see!

Has anyone got any pictures of their DIY efforts for a "GT Workstation!?!" I would like to see some other examples. (Inspiration came from Wastegate´s DIY cockpit)

The small print: Sorry if this is an old subject that keeps bouncing back to the top, and if I submitted it to the wrong forum, but I did search first, there´s not much on building your own DIY cockpit for GT.
Any advice is much appreciated in advance. Ta muchly.

N.
