Just wondering how consistent you guys are with your drifts and how consistent you guys are with your lines/linking/angles ive found that i can be consistent for only about 5 to 8 laps average (ive done more) but i tend to get overconfident at times. going to make a vid once i get my wintv pvr 350 in :)

I'm assuming all drifters try to be consistent as possible at links, lenghts, and etc.......drifters like to try and link all there drifts or have a lengthy drift

not all drifters link everything, i often try to find more linking corners though

The thing that makes you most consistant it practice of good technique. That's all. Now, if you're practicing with bad technique, you can be consistant, just with bad technique.

So just keep practicing and if you have questions on technique, please ask. You're better off asking then doing it wrong and wondering what happened.

i find that my line, isn't as consitant then most drifters, but its on;t because of my own technique.....

And we all know that line is one of, if not the most important factor in a drift. So that's a good point.

This is why precision of controls, that can only be learned with practice, is so important. you can't keep your line consistant with flucuating control schemes.

I will ask for more advice/suggestions on my own technique/s once i get a video in and you guys see what iam doing around the track. I've seen myself progress throughout the time , at a point i was never even able to drive a car on sim's but it seem's like it's the only way i prefer to drift nowadays

Swift's gota point there. You do need to take a proper line usually if not always to nail a proper drift on a given course. Some turns have many lines, some have only one true line, it really depends on what you're trying to do or accomplish.

I would go futher on THAT but I'm stuck in school, time is limited and puls I've got a crap load of stuff to. But point is... you have to keep constant with doing something right or just figuring out what in the heck you're doing wrong.

It can just simply boil down to trail and error and to see what other people are doing right. As for how long you can keep up with drifts. It depends on what you're trying to do.

Before I left for school, I tried a few times to see just how long I can keep drifting around trail mountain with an S13 (290bhp) and a Corvette Z06 (438), just a genreal pratice secession and partly Initial D style. I say that becasuse I was not always going for exibition drifts but speed drifts but some I just wanted to see just how far I can extend a drift or how much angle I can get (and also how it did felt like I was somehow in that said Anime...I know that sounds stupid but well...what can I say?... I must be one of the more intelligent fans of the serries out there...but I can't help but bring comparrisons to it...even though the said anime/manga is sorta looked down on by some becuae some fans of them are not so intelligent...) Other cases I just try and go as fast as I can with drift. On an avergae I last around the time Eluder mentioned, 5-8...well actually for me it was really more like 15-20...some days I can keep up and stay on pace, other days I can't go 3 laps before I just keep screwing up. It largely depends, I would go on but again, lack of time.

That's my say on it...

Till later...
