Burning Cd's

I heard that you can burn cd's on x-box and I was wondering how to do so.

Try CDR-W's, and not CD-Rs. Not all will work though, and certain Xbox' have a cheaper DVDrom that won't play anything.

They cant burn cd's you can just save them on the hard drive. You can save 300+ songs.

the dvd drive on the xbox is pathetic, from my point of view....

It is possible to adjust your dvd drive if it won't read your non-xbox disks ..... but it's not recommended. Most of them have trouble reading cdr's (but not cdrw's), and that is the source of most complaints ... but that seems like a small matter really. Especially when you consider how bullet-proof the drive is. It has a strong laser and lense that will generally outlast any normal dvd player - by the time you burn it out you'll think the x-box2 needs updating.

i think the new xbox's dont have as many compatibility issues as the old ones, cuz i just got one the other day and it reads all my cd'rs just fine, i have all different types, sony, memorex, phillips, they all read fine. Now my friend has one of the old xboxs from around when they first came out and his wont read any cdrs, but it DOES read cd-rw's, i dont know what kind he has. so just try both, one of ems bound to work. but yea. cant BURN cds on the xbox, but you can RIP the songs to the hard drive, dont know if thats what you meant or not
