Burning/hot smell from computer?

Hey guys, just this evening I noticed this burning, hot smell in my room, and It turned out to be my computer. I just cleaned everything inside it, fans, CPU, everything from dust. There was some caked on inside underneath he CPU fan and I cleaned that off, but if the smell persists, what would be the next option?

Replacing the thermal paste should be the next option.

Stick your nose round the back of the power supply, if the burning smell is coming from there that might be your problem. I also agree that you should replace the thermal paste, I would recommend actually removing everything (including the mobo) so you can have a good look at stuff outside of the case to see if there's any blow caps or burn marks.

Thanks guys, but it does seem to be the power supply, so it should be fixed in a couple of days.
