OK i dunno if this was posted already but if u have 2 memory cards this trick is Great!

Ok what u do is when u get enof money for the car u want u save your game on both memory cards... Then u go in the one where u dont usualy save yur game and sell all the cars u have and buy the car u want. Then u completly modifiy it (evrythin :D) Then u save the game on the slot that u dont use to save yur principal gt3 game... when this is done u go back in yur principal game and go in home / Trade and u buy the car for the base price (U dont pay for mods :D)

You can get a big financial advantage by trading cars. You might as well just make it simple and use a GameShark to give youself 100,000,000cr if you want to cheat the whole system of winning money to buy upgrades.

but.... if your going through the game for the cars and its not your first time... y not race with the cars you already moded...

Using gamesharks (what everthat really is), cheat codes, or getting around the systems just isn't on. If you feel you must then why play the game?

Play it the way it was intended to by the manufacturer.

Okay - drive your Skyline the way it was shipped by the manufacturer then... :D

I don't disagree with you, by the way. But you shouldn't try to take away people's rights to be jerks... :D

BUt 1,000HP is soooooo much better!!! :p :D

Or, you could just buy the mods already, if you have about 300,000...;) I mean, it's not really that much of an advantage, I'd still rather buy them normally.

What I was trying to say is that saving to 2 memory cards and trading is cheating. You're using a loophole to get something cheap that you should have to pay a lot for. It's kinda strange that you're allowed to race traded cars in simulation mode at all, actually. I suppose there are many levels of cheating:

1) In-game silliness like driving on the grass, beating better cars by knocking them into the dirt, etc.
2) reloading because you didn't get the car you want
3) rubber band trick for money
4) trading for new low-milage cars
5) trading for upgraded cars to save money
6) using a gameshark or GTC for free money
7) loading other people's ghosts for time trials or license tests
8) using a gameshark to gold all the licenses
9) using a hybrid in simulation mode
10) just steal someone else's savegame or give yourself 100% with a gameshark

I would only ever do #1 and #2 now and then. I don't suppose reloading is a big deal. If you've got bad luck, you probably shouldn't have to do all 520 miles of the PD Cup 100 times if you really want the F094/S. I wouldn't ever do the rubber-band thing, but it's really just a time saver for people who really suck or people who just want a ton of cars.

I would say anything past #4 is blatant cheating, but I'm sure some people would disagree. It certainly takes away from the accomplishment of finishing the game, though. If you've already finished the game, or if you're not planning on finishing it and you just want to get a bunch of cars to play around with, it really doesn't matter what you do.

Do 2 a bit, done 3 once or twice, done 1 most often, never done the rest...only did 3 after 100%ing the game.

I wouldn't regard 7 as cheating, it can be quite helpful to see where you are losing time on the licenses, and can help enhance the driver...And I've also done 6, it's a nice thing, and I only used it after I had 100%, to further my cars...;) I would only regard it as cheating when someone uses it at the start of a gamesave.

Well, I'm sure there are people who wouldn't consider anything short of #10 cheating, but loading other people's ghosts is pretty shady. I can understand someone who thinks the license tests are stupid and just wants to get bronze ASAP, but it's certainly cheating to use someone else's ghost in a quest for all golds. The game doesn't let you race against the demo ghost, and it takes away the racing line after the A test. It's nice being able to save your best lap and come back later and try for gold, but if you go download some ridiculously good ghost to race against ... well ... I just don't think it's much to celebrate about if your gold medal just means you successfully followed someone else.

yeah but whut i meant is like if yur really down on money (just enof to by a car) and need a better car just do that... Its like tha save load trick come on...

Well n-e-wayz gess i cant put up a post to help ppl or stuff...

nop... looks good tho... but i dont get it on canadian/american cable... id have to buy a dish and get speed or sumthin

If it's not on ESPN I'm usually out of luck... They seem to think Americans only want to watch NASCAR.

I don't think many people would say abusing the AI cars is cheating, but you've got to admit that if you decide not to use the brakes, and instead you slow down for a hairpin by slamming an AI car at 150 MPH and launching him off into the dirt ... well ... that's a pretty obvious abuse of the lack of car damage in GT3.

It makes things a little more fun, though :D

at times the ai cars will abuse you... if they are on your ass and you brake early in a car that needs early braking like a gt40...

i dont think that buying moded cars is that big of a deal because i have one game at 97% dam liscences... adn the other is for getting cars that are different colors... that you can only win once or twice in the game... plus i deleted some good cars by accident... after all this trouble i hope to split up my cars on the two mem cards... so i will need money to buy all hte cars off one mem card... or more likely buy cars from one mem card to the other.... in which case i will be doing the rubber band trick cause its just a pain to have to raise hella money to transfer the exp cars... i wanna organize by drivetrain...

I don't really race dirty, unless the AI really piss me off...;) Like they spin me around when I was following the racing line...:irked:

oh man... i hate that... esp on seattle i take a diff braking and such lin on the turn on the top of the hill... i brake latter and they brake ealier and i begin to drift and i feel a small tap on my rear and bam hit the wall in 6th place and play catch up for a lap or two fuming...

its worse when they do it on laguna tho... on the corkscrew esp... i think they get mad when i accidentally rear end and then they choose the best possible place to screw me... lol maybe there anger builds up... but other times its just uncalled for... dam unsensitive AI... i have feelings to you are not hte only ones with emotional programming... and common make them adjust there line if i am already in it

But at Laguna Seca, the AI cars enter the corkscrew so slow, it'd be hard to get rear-ended. I always gain a ton of time there. With a good line, you're not actually turning in the main part of the corkscrew, so getting hit wouldn't mess you up too bad.

I get really nervous on the last corner at Laguna when there are cars behind me, though. I still remember 2 years ago, I was fighting in Formula GT and actually winning with the F90/S at Laguna Seca, when on lap 31 got blasted on the last corner.

yeah that corner does worry me too...a nd i also use the corkscrew to gain... i think the incident i was talking about happened back when i was beginning and my tires were red so i was going slow and the car behind me must have pitted... lol... i guess i was pushing hte car to the limit on its friction capabilities...

Yeah, if you're not concentrating and thinking about something else, the last corner on Laguna can just catch you off guard...and late braking = lock up... = sliding into the dirt = I'm mad...;)

oh man... esp when its the enduro... jk... while that would suck it would never happen if you are racing for real instead of for sport...

but happens acouple of time int he pro league... esp in the vitz or other ones with all same cars i forgot... so long ago since i raced those i guess i better go do it... lol

It usually only happens to me when I go and start thinking about when I should pit, or looking at my tires...:|
