Buy G25? :D

Sup! Today I currently have a DFGT wheel but I really want a clutch+shifter so the cheapest route is to go for a G25/G27. Its mine for 110 bucks, its lightly used sooo... I mean, the wheel is pretty old and what if it would stop working xDD... What do you guys think?

Btw, i wont be using the logitech shifter when i have enough money for th8a shiftur xxxxxx hd sniper!

I used to have to G27 Brand new and used it for about 2 and a half years and its still in great condition. However i upgraded to the G29 for Ps4 purposes as well in the future and that wheel and pedal set in my opinion is even better! Especially if you do the @GTEYE Upgrade on the pedal set (Highly Recommend) Even can do that for the G27 and G25 pedals i believe.



So its your decision.

A) Go for the cheap way at the moment, Get the G27 and roll with it, you will love the wheel.

or

B) Save up a little and get the G29 Wheel for the long term option in case you want to use a wheel on the Ps4 as well.

Just my Suggestions. Go with what you are most comfortable with :cheers:

I used to have to G27 Brand new and used it for about 2 and a half years and its still in great condition. However i upgraded to the G29 for Ps4 purposes as well in the future and that wheel and pedal set in my opinion is even better! Especially if you do the @GTEYE Upgrade on the pedal set (Highly Recommend) Even can do that for the G27 and G25 pedals i believe.

Nice :D! Well it was the G25 wheel I was talking about but it is pretty similar to a G27 huh? I mean, the seller said its in new condition and have been stored for long times when he havent used it! It looks quite fresh too so idk if I should do this! The DFGT pedals are complete junk, i really think the G25 pedals would serve me well, the G25 wheel should also be a decent upgrade. Anyways, Im waiting for answers when he bought the wheel. :P

The G29 is not anything I will have money for xD It also got pretty bad reviews for some reason. But yaaah xD

Yeah The G25 and G27 are very similar, I do think the G27 is better than the G25 but as i said they are very similar and if he is saying that the G25 is pretty much brand new, thats a great deal to get. If you have a couple extra dollars, as i said in my last post i highly recommend the GTEYE Springs. Basically what they are is the stock springs in pretty much any pedal set feels very floppy and you can barely touch the pedals and your already flooring it. With these springs it gives it compression so you gotta Push the pedals down, takes some time to get used to it but its so worth it. Its so much easier to manage the throttle, and brake.

Overall, I do think the G25 Wheel and Pedal set will do great for you! Sounds like a good deal.

As of the G29, Yeah the price of the wheel is way too much, In my personal Opinion I believe the reason why the G29 has bad reviews, is 1, the price and secondly, its very similar to the G27, however the minor differences are huge, It has a strong motor in the wheel, and the pedals are better. the quality is very good. Plus Logitech has a reputation of long lasting products. The fact that this wheel is also compatiable with Ps4 also is very nice so I can switch between consoles anytime.

Again that's just my opinion about the G29. Price is still way too expensive. Most G27 users expected more which is what led it too bad reviews because they didn't get what they were expecting.

Alright nice man! :D The used G27's cost like 150-200 here and I dont really wanna pay that much tbh xD I will check out the springs that you suggested!

Yeah man the G29 is stupidly expensive

The springs are about $20 each I believe or maybe it's $30 but it's totally worth every penny you will notice a HUGE difference from stock G25 pedals to GTEYE spring pedals. What I suggest is get the brake spring out that in the brake then get the clutch spring and put that in the gas pedal. Gives it more progression.

Again thought I give you a few options and suggestions so your happy with what you get and gives you the best possible sim racing experience.

The wheel is 8 years old but he says that it is in really nice condition, should i make the move? I have to make my choice very soon.

It's old tech, but good. Big step up from your DFGT. If it's cheap, I'd do it. Offer $80.

Paid a little bit over 100 but it was in good condition, dont tell me anything else now because it will make me feel bad! xD Just tell me that it was a good purchase and that it wont brake after a week xDD!

If he says its not been used that much I'm sure the wheel still works just fine and worth it

I purchased it :D It should arrive the/this coming week (is that how you say it?), I will make an update once I got my hands on it! Thanks for the help! :)
