Im planning on buying an X360 Elite, I just wanted to ask you guys what games you recommend.
Will buy:
Halo
Halo 2
Halo 3
Gears of War
.Skate
Guitar Hero III
BioShock
Rainbow Six: Vegas

Thinking of buying:
Forza Motorsport 2
Assasin's Creed
Dead Rising
Project Gotham Racing 4
Need For Speed: ProStreet

Any recommendations are trully appreciated! 👍

Get PGR4, it's probably one of the best 360 games I've played so far.

Halo 3 is meh in my opinion unless you plan on playing it online and even then it's screaming 12 year olds. Test Drive: Unlimited is another good one and can be had used fairly cheap now. Forza 2 is pretty good but has a rather weak selection of tracks right now, I would get it though.

I didn't get a really good chance to play GoW but everyone tells me it's awesome.

Thanks Joey D. 👍
I played GoW with my friend and it is one of the best games I have ever played.

Crackdown
Forza 2
PGR4
Viva Pinata
BioShock
Dead Rising
Skate

That's off the top of my head.

Honestly, I suggest you buy the 360 and download the demos of all the games you're interested in. Most games have demos available to try, so you can tell whether any games we suggest and/or you want are worth buying.

There's a ton of cool stuff coming this fall anyway that you'll want (Mass Effect, Call of Duty 4, Assassin's Creed, Guitar Hero 3, etc), too, so you might want to budget in those games and skip out on older games like CoD2 and Dead Rising.

Guitar Hero 2, if you don't mind the money. (The game itself and DLable packs) If you already got it on PS2 though, nevermind.

What I'd recommend:

- PGR4: The physics are crazy fun, its beautiful, and the online stuff is always fun
- Halo 3: For the obvious reasons of awesomeness...
- BioShock: Probably the best game on X360 right now?
- Crackdown: Its a lot of fun, and I think is at a discounted price right now...
- Call of Duty 4 (November): COD2 was great, COD3 was a disappointment, COD4 will rock!
- Half-Live 2 Orange Box: Six games for $60, Team Fortress 2 alone probably worth the money (I'm buying on PC though...)
- Gears of War: My disc got scratched so I'm like 80% done, but I liked every minute of it
- Rainbow Six Las Vegas: Freaking awesome game, certainly shows the power of the 'BOX.

...Just to name a few...

Yeah, I was going to mention that... but GH3 is coming out later this month with a wireless guitar and like 20 more songs.

Oh yeah, the Clancy games. Definitely give this and GRAW 2 a rent (or try the demos or buy RSV if you can find it cheap), they're both very fun.

I think this is a good list. Just add Forza 2 to it.

But if he's never played GH2 it's new songs to him. ;) Although still expensive.

Guitar Hero III, will buy. I am really excited about Assassin's Creed also, and Dead Rising looks very.. interesting. 👍

Guitar Hero II, I already own it, oh and Guitar Hero: Encore. Really good games. 👍

Im looking forward to Rainbow Six: Vegas and CoD too. Im not really interested in The Orange Box since I have never played Half-Life, I am really interested in HL but I just think if I play it right now, I might get really lost in the story line. But Team Fortress 2, I am interested also, alot of good reviews and alot of excited people. 👍

The games I've enjoyed most are

Test Drive: Unlimited [The feel of it is just unlike any racing game out there. Hence, it's not so much about the racing as exploring the cars and the environment, which is really awesome and should last you for 30 to 40 really good gameplaying hours easy.]

Gears of War [A game you can't have missed. Relatively short yet intense single player campaign mode. Don't buy this for online gaming.]

Dead Rising [Extremely fun first run through the campaign. Becomes a compelling game once you're figuring out all the endings and different storylines. Spent countless hours on this!]

Forza Motorsport 2 [The best real racing you will find on XBOX360, which is not a compromising statement, it's actually really really good. Buy this for online racing, single player mode is good though.]

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 [Stunning singleplayer campaign.]

What?! One of the best online games I've ever played. Period. Even if people aren't as competitive as before, it's still great fun!

I can only ditto comments made for buying:
  • PGR4 (or PGR3 if you haven't got the money)
  • Bioshock
  • Crackdown
  • Gears of War
  • Forza 2
  • Dead Rising
  • Test Drive Unlimited
  • Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 1 or 2

You only need one game!!

Battlefield 2! :D - ok so its old but its still amazing!

On a serious note all the games these guys are mentioning are excellent - never was a fan of dead rising tho - hated that you couldnt save the game where you wanted.
