...and hello Nissan Navara!

Well, seeing as my dad has recently started a small business, he decided that he needs a better car then the MG, which, as I speak, is on the drive, inoperable, the oil pressure was extremely low, and now the car refuses to start. We have a Focus as a courtesy car, but I won't go into that, because I know you want to read about the Navara, so here it is!

It is black, it is the top-spec Aventura, with sat-nav, full electric seats, MP3 Compatability, 6 CD stack and a bunch of other stuff that I won't go into...

It has a 2.5 litre diesel with 174BHP (The most powerful in it's class BTW) and can do 0-60MPH in 11.4 seconds, which is pretty quick for a pickup.

So, the pics, well I can't show you now, because we haven't got it yet, we get it on Friday, it is a brand new 56-Reg (First time in his life my dad has had a brand new car). But I can show you what it will look like... (Oh, and to those Americans who don't know what a Navara, it's a Frontier basically)

0-60 in 11.4 is quick for a pickup? 0-60 in 11.4 is quick for anything?! Someone must not have notified me of this drastic change in what's considered quick.

Nice truck, though.

Remember in Europe the average 0-60 time is slightly slower due to more diesels and smaller petrol engines. Not every car/truck/suv over there goes 0-60 in 6 seconds like they do in the USA or Australia. I like the new Frontiers alot more than the previous models, the interiors are real nice and the seating positioning is spot-on.

But, you got rid of this?!

Dude, you should of shipped it over to me. I'd take one in a second...they look fantastic. I have no problems owning either the saloon ZT or the estate ZT-T. Show some love man! :sly: 👍

Well... ok, if you want a car with a dodgy turbo, disappointing performance and the constant need for oil & filter changes

EDIT: You are right by the way, the ZT-T is a great car, but all in all a bit depressing

That may be true in the UK but consider what the USA has and you'll know why I like MG's. Yes, even the TF. *gasp* Hell I even like a couple of Rovers!

that is effin GORGEOUS! was that thing a rover swipe from Honda?
something like that would make a station wagon loose it's "freak" reputation over here...and you swapped for a fronteir SUT?

i'd take one in a new york minute too...in Derwent green with tan leather. tell your paint boys to come on over here and brighten up america's color pallet a bit...get us away from carmine, and burned out dull blues, greens...etc

Yeah the ZT-T is nice... But when my neighbours Rover 75 went in for servicing, they had a ZT courtesy car... but even that had technical problems

Navaras are nice, but I think the Mitsubushi L200 is much better looking, and I think they both have similair stats.

I drove my friend's ZT-T once, it took about 10 attempts to start the engine, scared the crap out of me also it kept bleeping which was very scary too. My friend told me it was normal and I resolved never to get one myself.

I remember my first taste of an MG ZT-T was when I was working at Rover for a while... it was an experimental one with a mustang engine bolted to it courtesy of Prodrive...... gosh that thing went like hell! although you can really max it out round Longbridge  Its really a great car because it doesnt have alot of those horrid estate car looks..... they have managed to keep it all relatively like the ZT.

Nearing the end of Rovers life I thought the xpower SV inspired facelifted ZT's looked really amazing.....sadly it was not to last...

Heres a pic...

oh and the navara is really great... I love the 350z inspired style they are doing with thier range....

You ditched the ZT-T?

Expect dog poo to be pushed through your letterbox this week.

And every week for the rest of the year.

british vehicles have a rep for crappy electrics. oh, and don't forget...they sent a crappy rover swipe honda over here to the states, too...a Sterling. they forget to swap stuff over to the other side of the car on it.

besides...american's will only swap out the engine out, anyway...imagine that zt-t with a 5 liter stuffed in it :P

Nice truck, benzoboy. 👍 Too bad about the MG. :indiff: 'Tis a really neat car.

I wouldn't call 0-60 in 11.4 "quick," but it's more than adequate to get around and do pretty much anything. This is in contrast to the mindset that most americans have gotten themselves into, where anything that can't hit 60mph in less than 7 seconds is "slow," and anything that can't hit 60mph in less than 9 seconds is "unbearably sloth-like."

Any car/truck that can break every speedlimit in the country is more than fast enough for daily driving.

Only it it's FR, buddy. Ain't room in a FF, unless that FF is a '67 Toronado.

Well, okay, the Impala and Monte Carlo get away with it too...

and the Caddy DTS....

Oh, hell, if it's not a GM fullsize FF, it won't fit.

that's what a torch is for!:sly:

It's here! And it's fan-bloody-tastic! Leather, Sat-Nav, Bluetooth connectivity, 6 CD-Stack, MP3... it's got everything! And great looks too! I'll post pics as soon as I get home
