Hey guys,
I am a race Vette lover and i have a great time driving both C6R's.
Now yesterday i thought i'd start tuning them some, becourse i found them too little grippy on the Nordschleife and some other tracks.
I started tuning the fast C6R, and i noticed that unlike most other cars i have seen this car stock, is set at the lowest ride hight possible. So i set it too a higher setting (around 50%) and on Trail mountain i suddenly was 2 seconds faster, and the klaps where allot more consistent. The car broke out less and drove more predictable
On Susuka i noticed the car was easier to drive fast with 30% ride hight on the slower C6R, but 0% would be just a bit faster, but allot less stable on acceleration. So i was allot more consistent with a higher setup.

I drive both on RH tires, and stock power settings.

Now while doing some other cups i have made an attempt to lower the car a bit and stiffen her up a bit, making the front or rear softer/stiffer at times to counter under/oversteer, but in most cases, after resetting the suspension to stock, i was faster with the stock suspension. I somehow seem to lose allot of grip, due to a more limited weight distribution. Allmost every time.
Camber works great and improves my times the way i expect, but suspension just doesn't.

Especialy when driving SH tires on sports cars i feel i really quick lose grip as soon as i lower the car.
So can't you lower a car (overall) when you drive with less grippy tyres?

What car exactly are you talking about? Could it be the C6 Z06 and ZR1 Race modified cars? Because the only car close to what you are posting is the C-5R which is a UCD race car.

If you are talking about either of the RM cars or even the C-5R I wouldn't go less than SS tires on them, depending on power level. There's a reason the game puts RH tires on them :)
