I'm going to go with a classic racer for this round, and I choose the GT40. Awesome livery, awesome engine noise, awesome amount of power, awesome racing success, awesome car!

Really tough decision as there's so many great machines here but went for the 787B for not only being the only Japanese & Rotary car but also being able to beat the dominating Mercedes through it's incredible reliability. Honourable mentions to the Ford GT40 (for it's iconic looks and incredible winning streak), McLaren F1 GTR (for being able to beat the faster LMP's through it's reliability) and Audi R10 TDI for being such a dominant force, and not just at Le Mans, in practically every racing series it competed.

Welp, Looks like the XJR-9 is getting a vote from me...again. There's that 917K and the GT40 but, I cannot freaking resist the british type.

This is a tough one. The 956 and the R8 redefined what endurance cars should be, the F1 GTR was the last actual production based car to win overall, and the others are all interesting as well.

But in the end, the best roadcar in the world won, so F1 GTR it is.

The 787B is the perfect race car. Unforgettable livery, unique in design, successful and is absolute ear porn too.

Romantic answer is 917. But head has to go with the 956.

What a machine, and driven by some of the all time great 'prototype' drivers.

R10 TDI as it kicked off an era of diesel dominance in sportscars that continued with the R18 before the hybrid era began.

Changed my vote to the GT40 because I really don't want the heavily overrated 787B to win this poll.

Would've picked the 905 if I'd remembered to. The thing is just terrific on every possible level.
