Cadillac Series 62 by Ghia 1953

This absolutely stunning limited edition classic is based on the already classy Series 62 Cadillac, and inherits it's 5.4 litre V8 engine and roughly 4,400lb kerb weight.

The car above was purchased by the world's wealthiest man at the time, Prince Aly Khan, and he gave this Cadillac with its beautiful Ghia coachwork as a gift to actress Rita Hayworth, to whom he was briefly married.

Seeing as how GranTurismo lays great respect on its classic luxury and GT cars, such as the Abarth Biposto, BLRA-3 Skyline and Ford GT40, and I think that this car would make a fantastic addition to the classic collectors cars of the franchise...

Two were built by Ghia - the other car was black with gold wheels, gold grille and individual seats rather than the bench. I think the internet sites which refer to a 6.4 litre or 390 cubic inch motor are probably wrong as the 1953 Series 62 Cadillac had a 331 cubic inch or 5.4 litre V8. Both cars still exist and were shown at Pebble Beach recently.
