Hi folks, i have the chance to buy one of these bikes.Just wondering if anyone has bought one before and can tell me what to look out for..I don't know the mileage, year, condition, maintenance history, price yet but i do know it needs fork seals to go through an M.O.T. so can't be all bad.Here is what the bike could possibly look like;

Seems like an XR650 will do everything better, apart from the exhaust note.

Would be a lot easier to get parts for a Honda than for a Cagiva.

This guy is talking sense. Plus, Honda's are generally bullet proof.

Well there's a first time for everything.:lol:

The Cagiva would have less vibration as well, because twin.
You'd probably be the only person around who owns one as well.

The thing is i've been looking for one for about 6 years, and if i bought one i don't think i'd sell it.

Agreed. My Honda in the shed still runs strong and looks great after almost 30 years of heavy abuse.

If you're set on a Cagiva then get a Cagiva, you'll have to work out all the little niggles in it though. But it gives it character.

I think the 650 Elefant has the Pantah engine in it & my 1995 750 has the Ducati 750ss engine.

Never mind folks, the bike is a W12 350cc single cylinder that is quite rough.It aint worth a carrot anyway.I would be grateful if anyone can find a 1985 Lucky Strike 650 Cagiva Elefant for sale in the uk.
