Calculate the permeability (in miliDarcy) of a
capillary tube with a radius of 1 μm and 1mm?

Q=πD^4ΔP/(128μL)., Hagen-Poiseulle
Q=(kA/μ)(ΔP/L), Darcy

1 mD=1E-15 m^2.

Answer so far

πD4ΔP/(128μL) = (kA/μ)(ΔP/L)

I want to get k on it's own, any suggestions?

Would k = πD^4L/128A look about right?

Now if i remember math and stats right dont you need to divide the whole p/l bracket over to the left?

Your then left with a big mess on the left= k/u

Then multiply u over to the left and youd get (big mess)u=k

??? Thats my guess. I hope thats clear enough as Im doing this on an ipod. I also dont have any idea what your calculating that is just my best guess based on my algebra skills which havent been used in a couple years now.

Good luck.
