Does anyone have this? I'm thinking about getting COD:RE and want to know how good it is. I don't care about less bits of smoke from the smokin' 'nades, just want the gameplay. I've got COD:3 for Wii and - despite the reviews - like it. I cant afford a PS3, X360 or upgrade my PC, so...

Well, I've gotten this game a few weeks ago, and have been playing it to death. Here's some pros and cons:
+Extensive controller customisation, so you can always get a fit you like.
+Specially-Made controller layout for Wii Zapper.
+Same Plot, same actions etc, etc.
+Gameplay is much different than a PS3/360 controller or Keyboard and Mouse (that's a good thing )
+All perks and gun customisation.
-That stupid friend code thing. Much easier remembering a nickname.
-No Voice Chat online. In fact, no chat at all. (So clans would have to use Skype on PC or something)
-Graphics are only 30+. In some very hectic situations, it's sub-30.
-The 'Extensive Controller Customization' can be a real S.O.B sometimes.
-Sometimes the online games have a server time out.
-OL playing can get a bit glitchy sometimes.
Overall, it's a really fun game that, if you have a Wii, you should get. It's not something you actually get the console for (GT5 for example).
Having absolutely loved the original, I don't know how you could go wrong with this game. Even if the impression of this version reminds me of N64.
I think the lack of game chat is a blessing in a disguise. On both X360 & PS3, over 90%(way over) are idiots who participates in merit-less trashtalking, play staticky music for everyone to enjoy, or just obnoxious in general. Great once in awhile, you have people who will communicate to win, but that is pretty rare. Private party chat can be priceless, but anything less than that isn't great IMO.
