Race: Grand Valley Speedway (first race in series)

Running the calsonic skyline, purchased and installed only upgrade option- stage 4 turbo. Medium-slick tires.
Getting whipped by the 787b.
Is the AI subject to tire limitations like me? I mean, he pits once on the 6th of 10 laps, and he corners like he’s on super-soft tires…. I watched the replay from inside his cabin- his tires don’t even go green until the second lap- where-as mine are green half-way through the first lap.

CHEATER!

btw- thank goodness we're back on-line... i was suffering withdrawl yesterday
 
:D Sounds like you saved your replay. If so check the AI's sector times AFTER his pit stop. Grand Valley is where the Oreca Viper is famous for making up for a 20+sec pit stop IN ONE LAP!!! & YES, the AI cheat, worse in some races than others. Have you checked "Der Alta's Blow by Blow"?? He's found Lots of evidence of cheating. Also check my write-up "Stock CALSONIC @ Tokoyo Rte 246" to see what I discovered. Hope this helps...UB57

In fairness to the 787B, it is light as a popcorn fart, and that's one thing that really helps tire wear. This is probably the best all-around car in the game (if only I had one...). The trusty rusty Calsonic may not have the sauce to take it on.

GT4 needs to address:

-evil cheating AI

-simulated damage
