Hi,I'm having problems transfering videos to my PS3 from my camera.
My PS3 doesn't recognise any videos of it.
I can transfer pictures of it just fine.
I tried using a SD card reader, and USB flash drive,no luck.
I have 2 other cameras(fujifilm,Nikon) and videos will play on my PS3.
The camera in question is a:Nikon Coolpix L310 PAL region.
I read on Nikon's website that you need a powerful PC for playback, and videos do play on mine so what can do to get them on my PS3?

Most likely need the proper codec. What's the file format, i.e. the extension on the filename. That will (probably) identify the video format and help us point you to a codec.
It might be as simple as getting Quicktime installed if you don't have it.

It looks like the PS3 doesn't support .mov file format (I couldn't find it in the supported file formats). Also if the videos have the h.264 profile level greater than 4.1 they might not play on the PS3.

I guess you have to re-encode/transcode(?) it to an appropriate file format and h.264 profile level. I know the PS3 is a bit picky on the videos you want it to play, I once encoded a couple of XviD test videos well within its limits and it couldn't play them. :indiff:

(Sorry for the late reply,my server went down for 8 weeks)
The codec is quicktime video motion JPEG.

Download their full studio from here for free. http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/ Their software is brilliant for lots of stuff. Just stick your video into the video to ps3 converter (under the mobiles section) and jobs a good'en.

I seem to have got a virus from it and my browser homepage has changed to delta search or something.
Any help here.:(

Try deleting it from the installed programs in Control Panel/CCleaner and/or browser extensions if possible, you can also do a virus scan if you feel there's anything else. Also, here's a website with some tips.

I've always wondered, why do companies add toolbar/adware installation in their software?

Haha got a virus. Such a simple thing of converting a video ended so badly. But ya like other said you just need to convert the video file. I use "adapter" as it keeps the good quality of the video but changes the codec. I use mp4 for my videos but it'd up to you what you want.

You won't have got a virus from that website. They "may" have added some toolbar into it so that they get advertising money however I can assure you its not a virus. I use their videostudio for almost every media conversion that I need to do.

Thank you for the reassurance,I'll re-download it and make sure I don't accept any other software.
