Camping in north west England

Well me and the mrs have been asked to do a bit of house sitting next weekend for some family. The house is in a place called Daresbury, Warrington. Very nice big house and from what they say pretty close to North Wales. Now the mrs is a camping virgin but me, I love and do quite a bit of it down here in southern softy land. Now my question to any of the northern GTP'ers is do you have any spots of recommendation for a bit of wild camping? Not looking for any camp sites just a bit of tenting in the woods away from it all nice and quiet. Nothing particular just somwhere out the way in maybe North Wales but anywhere you guys can recommend. I'd like to keep the travelling down to a minimum but not scared of a few hours either way. 👍

If you're house sitting surely you should sit the house rather than go camping!? I couldn't recommend any fields or woods but could recommend a few good camp sites. You're not that far from the lake district which would be my personal preference. Let me know if you want the sites.
