It's kinda crazy, but there were a couple of B-Spec events in Beginner/Amateur where even AI drivers below LV5 can safely handle driving a Formula Gran Turismo and move up in the rankings. There are questions that went through my mind when I studied this.
(1) How come the AI driver is completely drained of Strength/Mental Strength and still handling every turn smoothly without going overboard?
(2) If there was a way to ensure completion of races, even on drained S/MS, then what should I tell my AI driver?
Okay, the game appears to keep track of each driver's limits of S/MS, where the smaller it is, the faster that S/MS will drain. Normally, drivers without sufficient S/MS and/or under highest tension (cold/hot) would goof often on a racetrack.
But I been watching their calculated driving moves on board an FGT and I even told my AI drivers to Pace Down starting at the beginning of every race. Of course, that often resulted in (1) handling every turn cautiously even on drained S/MS, (2) nicely maintained speeds of 60 mph (compared to 30 for other cars), and (3) overtaking all vehicles ahead without telling the AI driver to do it.
Here's the deal, if you take A-Spec level to 24 and get an FGT along with the proper sets of tires, you should have no problem taking your overall B-Spec level to 10 and maybe even your AI drivers to at least Class 6.
