Looking for a good Ferrari just for the MR and Ferrari Cup. Have 600K to spend and was thinking Scuderia. Not a fan of the italia. So just wanted to know if I should buy the Scuderia, set aside my dislike for the Italia, or save up for an Enzo or SP1?

used the 430 Scuderia and it was cake with some mods to it, would imagine the same for the '06 430 as well. Also have been farming that series for credits with the Lamborghini Countach LP400 '74.

458 Italia FTW.

Seriously, even unmodded I was able to outrace an Enzo.

can't speak for the Scuderia because I don't have one yet. (it's on the list to get)

I do however have the 458.

with soft slicks this car becomes insane.

you'll destroy the comp in those races.

it's fast and very agile. great on corners. with the slicks you'll stick like glue.

I tried it and it was so good I almost felt like I was cheating or something.

do a ECU, air filter tune if you run into trouble.

you won't believe the performance. the car becomes a cartoon. just ridiculous.

Scuderia would also be a good choice I think. got to drive it on one of the license test and I really liked it's performance.
since you like that one, why not get that one and put slicks on em if you run into trouble...

i have a 458 fully tuned and its awsome. the scuderia is also a very very good car. mine is only 575 bhp and it is joyus to drive.

Well I used the cheapest one :) but it looks like the Enzo is where the real speed is at as that is the only one that was able to keep up with me still right on my bumper at the finish line.

is 599 a good choice ?!

I use one and am quite pleased with it. With aero parts, it doesn't have the increased static value of non-adjustable front downforce of the other cars, however. It's of little consequence against AI, though, and it looks and sounds great.

I sold my 599 last night - mostly because I've found the engine sound disappointing, regardless of exhaust choice.
In terms of driving it, I found it to be more of a grand tourer than a race worthy car - although with enough upgrades and racing slicks, damn near every modern (and many old), high powered car can be made race worthy to a significant degree of course.

Nice one, kd283. If you're not a strong RWD driver I would recommend the 458, since the rear end is so planted, if you're a master of throttle control through corners, go with the 430S. I picked the Enzo because I was drowning in money.

meh, i'd choose the scuderia even though the 458 would be a bit quicker.

Hey Everyone.

I bought the 458, and couldn't QUITE win the Ferrari race entirely stock. So I got some sport softs and it was easy...didn't even need racing tires.

Now my question is for those that "maxed" out the 458. What kind of numbers (weight, total horsepower, and lap times at Indy oval) can I expect?

I have a Ford GT and I'm trying to beat "Like the Wind" - I can win at Daytona, easily. Just ran a bunch of 1:36's w/o drafting. It has 833hp and weighs just over 1200kg. Can the 458 beat these figures? Can you "race modify" the 458? What aero parts are available?

Really - do I have a shot of winning Like the Wind with a modded 458 so I don't have to go and buy a $2M race car or deal with B-Spec to win the old Lambo? I think to win at Indy it will have to be able to run about 46 sec laps w/o drafting. Are there any other cars that can do this?

The F430 Scuderia can match the Enzo's time at Ferrari's test track. Says it all really. ;)

You won't win the Indy race with the 458. Some guys are beating it with the Veryon. I couldn't beat it with the veryon, so I bought the Audi R10 and it was game over. In hindsight, I would have bought the 908 or 787B over the R10. The car u win from beating Gone with the wind ROCKS!!!

Thanks for the response - I've read that some can beat the Daytona race with the Veyron, thanks to the massive straights. However, I haven't seen anyone get close at Indy. Before I dump $200k into the Veyron, how close were you with your attempts at Indy, specifically? Was the car maxed out with mods?

my 599 has 822BHP, handles like a dream, and even my B-Class G. "The Stallion" Bianco can clean up with it. I would not get the Enzo!

It is, however, FR, so you may not want it...

You can't win indy with the veyron at all. I'm pretty sure it is impossible. i used the Mazda Furai concept, but that took me ages!

I'll have to check when I get home but my 458 is maxed out in most things. I believe it has close to 700hp and weighs somewhere in the 1100-1200kg range. The car really is ridiculous. I tore through the ferrari challenge with very few mods. When I put racing softs on, it was just insane. I'm only level 17 but this car has been untouchable in every race I've done.

The Enzo i found to be absolutely shocking, huge piles of understeer!

The Scuderia & 458 feel very nice to drive 👍
