hey everybody, hows it going?
I own a Logitech Driving Force GT
the wheel works fine when I use it, but after about 30 minutes of driving, I place my hand on the Logitech logo, and it feels really hot.
also, the Force feedback becomes less powerful than before, and the only way to make it strong again is to turn off the power and wait for the wheel to cool down.

So, if I overuse the wheel, will it break?
will the overheating lead to force feedback breaking down?
by the way, I have already broken a Driving Force GT ( it lasted 24 days, and I turned too hard and the force feedback clamped)

luckily I got my wheel replaced for free, and my current one has lasted for over 60 days now, happy times

now, I dont want to break it again, so thats why I am asking all these questions about it overheating

My first DFGT lasted about 6 months, and it died after a long long long session of drifting/rally racing. I wouldn't say that it overheated, but after a long dirt session and a little while of drifting, the FF went away completely. As soon as i noticed it, the GT light in the horn button started flickering, and soon after that my wheel was dead. The wheel would no longer respond to any input, but all of the buttons/pedals still worked.

Once i unplugged the wheel, it still felt like there was some power going to the FFB motor, as the wheel was hard to turn just like if you tried to turn it any other time other than a race. I sent it back to Logitech and they sent me a new unit, but the thing that really pissed me off was the fact that i could not get another year warranty with the new wheel, it's still on the same 1 year warranty that the old wheel came with, so that means i have about 2 1/2 months left on this one.

Luckily, i havent noticed any real wear/signs of dying with the new wheel, and i've been doing nothing but rally racing and some drifting. what i'm really hoping to do is sell my DFGT with the graturgismo paddles and almost be able to pay for a new g27 after they send me a 50%off code...
