Can I use the new version Logitech G27 with a 60 slot optical encoder?

Recently i have bought a new encoder for my G27 since the plastic one was broken.
What i didn't take under notice is that i needed a 30 slot encode since I have the newer version of the wheel and i bought a 60 slot one by accident, and now it doesn't work properly.

So is there any way I could install the 60 slot encoder on my Logitech G27 so that it will work like a normal 30 slot encoder?

Just a note for future reference, it would be more AUP-friendly to change the title of a thread you started if you want to slightly change the subject rather than start a new one.

As for your problem, short of finding an old G27 logic board to swap for yours, no, there's not much you can do. The encoder hardware (except for the wheel itself) is the same so it's the programming of the microcontroller on the board that you'd need to change - that's just not possible, at least not quickly and/or for less that it would cost to buy an entirely new wheel. I'd suggest posting on a few sim racing forums' 'stuff for sale' boards, I guess.

Well what I have tried doing is writing an email to the company that sells these and asked if it's possible to get an exchange. Do you think that would work?

If you didn't sell it alredy, I would gladly buy it from you. I have a g25, which requires a 60 slots encoder disc... :)
