The website - http://www.systemrequirementslab.com tells me it would fail epically if I played it.
Im dont know too much about computers and im not willing to buy a new one or a £1000 upgraded video card or some other part. something within a £40 price range.
Its the family computer.
I really need help to know if it will be okay to run iRacing
Thanks a lot in advance

When you say it fails on system requirements lab, what specifically does it fail on? Graphics card, processor?
You don't have the recommended RAM but your processor appears more than good enough.

I'm going to take a guess that you've got a cheap graphics card that isn't up to the standard.

I think the easiest way of finding out is simply subscribing for a month and trying to run it. That way you've only lost a few $ rather than spending a few hundred trying to upgrade only to then find out its still not what you hoped for.

I personally don't feel its ever worth upgrading a computer in one or two parts - you are better off getting a whole one in a few years time and trying to run the one you have into the ground. If its something cheap like RAM or a hard drive then sure upgrade it. But personally I find upgrading stuff like graphics cards and motherboards a waste of time and money for the amount of life these parts really give.

My computer easily met the recommended requirements but I still run it at the lowest settings. I get a very good FPS and very little lag though.

I think if you run it you're likely to find its not going to run perfectly but it might be playable.

At the end of the day though, do you really want to play a game like this which requires an awful lot of time - on the lowest settings with a poor framemrate? I think you're best off waiting till you have a better computer than wasting your money finding out you can't or don't want to play it as such poor quality. Best getting a proper machine to handle the game than trying manage with a computer which struggles. Where is the fun in that?

That system would probably run decently well with an updated video card. I run a AMD Radeon HD6750 video card and it only cost me about $120 dollars (or 95 euros). Your processor isn't ideal for the game but on medium settings I think the game would work just fine.

I just signed up recently so if you have any other questions feel free to PM me.
