Hi all,

As per the title. Our bunny rabbit bit the cable which attaches from the steering wheel to the usb connection.

Only a small part of the wire half way down has been exposed and is slightly frayed, but enought that it no longer works.

Can this be fixd by someone who#s handy with a soldering iron or is it goodnight DFGT?

Cheers,
Mark

Should be simple to fix for someone with a soldering iron.

mmmmm rabbit.
But if you have a soldering iron it should be a simple fix. Next time to dont leave the rabbit by the wheel xD

I made my old Original Xbox controller work on PC via a USB plug with nothing but a pair of scissors, some electrical tape and a spare USB extention cable!

Cut the two cables
striped back the wires on the controller cable and USB extension cable,
matched the green colour wires
twisted them (tightly/securely) together
taped that wire (I used glue first as insulation)
repeated for the black wire..
Repeat for all wires until the cables where joined
????
Plugged it in and played GTA Vice city.

Soldiering Iron is the best way but not strictly necessary if you use care, to insulate

If you have an electrical/hardware store you can even use one of these..

Cheers guys. My g/f works at an engineering firm, so she'll take it to work with her on Monday.

The rabbit is now a rug on the lounge floor ;)

I'll buy some wire protector/plastic casing so it doesn't happen again.

Either that or I can take the rabbit to the vets and have his front teeth removed like his little brother... which had to be removed for medical reasons

No dont torture the little bunny like that!

Wheel back up and running!! THanks to the one of the engineers and a soldering iron at my g/f's work.

Will have to teach them to sit on my shoulders like parrots when playing from now on.

Some funny comments in this thread :)

Made me LOL Smoothherb. The rabbit that chewed the wire is actually white and fluffy. I'll show my g/f later on.
