im confused as i just noticed my fpv gt seems to have gained power. it has been used a lot, mainly doing free runs at the ring. but the power is now 684 bhp when you can only tune a brand new one to 651. i knew that cars graduly lost power the more you use them but this is strange.

is it meant to simulate the engine wearing in or just a lucky glitch?

has anyone else had the same thing?

From what i believe it peaks and hen starts to climb down but i cant be totally sure though

There's different HP figures on different screens in the game. you probably just saw a screen with a different amount on it.

Or you could've done an oil change.

That is my guess for his answer.

For that much of an increase I would have to agree. The break-in hp gain isn't that high, but changing dirty oil definitely could get that result. Its also likely he saw the hp displayed in replays, which is considerably lower in tuned, high horsepower cars.

Well apparently it's "racing oil" that has a lower viscosity and frees up a little frictional horsepower. At least, that's the only way it makes any sense at all..still shouldn't give you nearly as much as it does though.

I think it's stupid that you have to do an oil change on a brand new car.

You never have to give a new car an oil change. It only gives you a few extra horsepower, so if you think its stupid you don't have to do it.

Sure it doesn't have any mods?
Because this case is usually backwards.
