Can Seasonal Events be played offline?

Stupid question i know, but i still have not updated my gt5 as I currently have no internet at home. So i was wondering if seasonal events can be played offline? if so, then i will get my game updated at my mates. Cheers for person who answers my question.

You sure, cause I can't access them or the online dealer when offline.

they are downloaded via the patch but you still have to have internet connection to access them. kind of like black ops and their combat training mode

You have to be online to enter the race, but once you are on track, you can be disconnected. Connection status doesnt affect receiving the prize credits or XP at the end of the race.

You must be signed into PSN. to select seasonal events.

Yep all the info the game needs to start the event is contained in psn but once you are in a race you can be disconnected and continue that race, if you try and start a new race it will be needing to connect to psn again.
