I have seen people play it and at the risk of major flaming I am asking What the hell is it. I don't get what you do. Is there a goal, objectives? I don't get what it is you do apart form whack things and put blocks in places

Please can somebody explain!!

You should have posted this in the minecraft thread.

But there is no objective you just build. Its addictive to some but for me it was short lived and I am now bored of it.

Best place was to have asked in the Minecraft thread but to make it easier its a sandbox game. If you need more go to http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Minecraft
it should help you ask, If anything go to youtube and look at it.

Multiplayer is good
Single Player is good When you are playing with mods.

I have 2 minecraft folders, 1 for multiplayer and 1 for mods

The thing that throws people a bit is that it doesn't come with an official manual at all.
You just kinda... make stuff.
Bash a tree to get logs, refine the logs into planks, use planks to make a crafting table, refine some of the planks into sticks, put planks and sticks together to make wood pickaxe, then use that pickaxe to mine stone, then make a stone pickaxe etc
Among a bunch of other things to do (farming, making houses, eating)

Two objectives:

CREATIVE MODE
Build stuff at will

SURVIVAL MODE
Build stuff while trying not to be killed by monsters at night and eventually try to kill a massive dragon, known as the Ender Dragon, which 'completes' the game (The game continues).

Considering this thread is 4 years old, I presume he's probably worked it out by now.
