I really hate to ask this but can anybody here that has done this procedure on their 6 speed shifter do it for me as well? I've been doing this for 2 days and no luck whatsoever.
The filling is such a pain in the arse.

Nevermind, I got it. lol
Using this as a guide.

The only thing I didnt follow was removing the metal casing. All I did was put a small stack of index cards, cut it to the appropriate size to which it can fit when screwing the case back on. Then there it goes, the ball bearing just scrapes through the index cards which made it much more quiet and definetely a lot more tension depending on how thick you put it. =)
If you guys want pictures just ask.

Sorry for bumping this, I've been using the silent mod for my shifters for a while now but the plastic store/phone cards eventually break down and crack.

As it's just happeed again I was wondering if anyone here is using something better/longer lasting for the mod.

When it's modded (and works) the shifter is absolutely fine, so much so if the mod didn't keep breaking down I wouldn't bother with the Clubsport shifter.

I've assumed that this mod was really good at first back when I first got the wheel ( which I no longer have ) . But yeah if you guys are going to do this mod. You might as well find something flat and something really strong to resist the scraping and tearing that the ball bearing does. So yeah just a fair warning.

Its a great simple mod, dont get me wrong. It's just that you're going to have to keep changing the stack of phone, old credit cards, or whatever you use eventually. Which is sometimes too much of a hassle.
