Can someone else test this?

Hello, My friends and I were doing our own events this past weekend on the new Route X circuit.

We did a joke race and that was to race some recommended cars in reverse around the circuit.

2 of us picked the Lancer '07 thats in the recommended list and started reversing. He was using a DS3 and I was using a DFGT. We were both going 33mph and for some reason he was pulling away! He won by at least 5 or 6 car lengths by the end of it. Both cars kept a complete straight line and we both just held down circle.

Anyone justify why this happened? Or is this just showing that DFGT's are at a disadvantage overall?

Thanks

I do not know why that happened but I think that the physics for a wheel and a controller is different. Or it might have been a fluke; we'd need to do this experiment again to confirm either it was or wasn't.

I own a DFGT and probably we could meet up and do this again. Each of us takes turns using a wheel and controller. If the lancer being driven by the controller wins twice, then this will confirm that the physics for controllers are different to that of wheels. But normally most of your time in races are spent travelling in a forward direction.

He could have been goiing at 33.9mph but you could have only been going at 33.1 mph.

I don't know but this is just my theory

This is also a possible explanation. +1 👍 to this.

Either that or 33.4 vs 32.5. :D

A lap of Rt X is a long time for small differences to be amplified. One lane is likely a lot longer than the other too. Assuming because I don't have the track, but it's always called an oval.

Right but shouldn't the two presumably exact same Lancers go the exact same speed? If both from the Arcade list of cars?

This was from the start to the beginning of the first turn that the difference appeared to be 4-5 car lengths.

I said possible explanation. I think it was more likely a fluke to be honest.
