USA! USA!
I assume most of you saw the opening to Monday Night Football, right? You know, where the woman from Desperate Housewives is standing in the Philly locker room and she hugs Terrell Owens.

What's the big deal with this? We see her bare back, and she hugs an athlete. I don't get what the big deal is.

Every eleven seconds ESPN is mentioning it, and it's a pain in the ass. Tony Dungy says it's racially insensitive, because he's a moron. He claims that the skit shows that with money a black athlete can get a white woman. This had never even entered my mind when I saw the skit 384 times the past few days.

America is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too sensitive. It almost makes me gag.

Is anyone here offended when a woman is shown hugging a guy?

its all a bunch of bullpoopy. The NFL and janet Jakson then the FCC fines for a bare tit then the NFL complaining about ABC showing a comercial with a naked chick and a player... in the mean time you go to the Eagles website and they have a cheerleaders dressed in victoria secret stuff section ....and the beer comercials that sell sex and beer...bunch of ********s all of them..complaining about this crap...ohhhh the horror of it all !

I guess it's a slow news week in the NFL, what with nobody signing footballs or making cell phone calls after touchdowns anymore.

In fact, it's a sow news week in general. What I can't stand is when news begets it's own "news", so really important stuff that doesn't have flames shooting out of it gets largely ignored.

The big deal is, they want to make some press for their show (which I will not name) and their football program (also will remain nameless). They want to start "watercooler" discussions. Looks like you are playing right into their hand.

The only small problem I can see with this is a small child seeing it, and it's off-topic nature, but really there was nothing wrong with it at all. I can't see how this is any different from the partial nudity and vulgar words used in nearly all TV shows this day and age. What makes it different because it was before a football game?

I'll name them for you. Desperate Housewives (Sundays, 9 PM Eastern) and Monday Night Football (9 PM Eastern).

The big deal isn't being made by ABC and their spectacular shows, it is being made by other dip****s across the country. Read: FCC and thick-headed conservatives.

WEEEEEE! I'm playing into their hands.

I don't understand the "little children" reasoning. If they're so little, why aren't they in bed at 9 PM? And what little kid is going to be scarred at the sight of a semi-attractive woman's back?

It's a new way of attracting people to watch football?
That, and moreso their lame sitcom.
EDIT: Now this looks so out of context thanks to the two posts above it. Ignore.

I agree; wasn't really even enough for a child to be offended or a parent to be offended by what their child sees, but I can see how you might have a little objection to it. Overall it's just a big blow up of a small situation.

I hate people who get all worked up over nudity. It's just bare skin. Get over it, this isn't the 1860s...

And with all this controversy, I hope the offended people realize that they are just playing right into the network's plan.

Everytime I try to look at the news (read: have an extra window open to cover bash.org), it seems that there is some "new development" every hour about this stupid thing. Sheesh.
