Well I was trying to beat my max speed in my Corvette C5R, it has ALL the mods and I was just fine tuning it, and I don't know exactly what I did wrong, but I think its the gear ratios. Whenever I reach sixth gear the speed starts dropping, I can keep it in 5th and it will keep rising slowly, but major redlining. Can someone explain to me what I did wrong and how I can fix it ?
 
Your 6th gear is set too high. The C5R gearbox can go too wide for the cars power. You'll need to shorten all the gears so that you're nearly redlining in 6th.
 
yeah true, done that sort of thing myself with a few cars early on in the game
not so much anymore ;)
